What are the preferred brands of shifter for the new Mustang 6 speeds?
I just bought a 2012 5.0 and as soon as I feel the shifter getting sloppy I'll go for one of the aftermarket brands.
I have always been a fan of Hurst shifters going back to my 64 Galaxie 4 speed back in the day.
BTW I am...

Is there anybody out there open tracking the late model GT's? I am not into collectable super cars I just like drivers that I can drive on the street/trailer to the track and run some hot laps. I have a replica Cobra that I have been tracking for 15 years and I have a ton of experience so I know...
Anybody ever consider one of these, seems to have some high quality internals and Jack Roush does know just a little about how to win races in a Mustang.

August 15,16,17 Thunderbolt...........SAAC/SVTOA convention
Buying a manufactured collector car is definately a crap shoot since nobody knows how the market is going to be 20-30 years down the road.
Who would have thought the 65-66 Shelby would be bringing such big bucks today. Certainly nobody in the 70's thought they were worth very much.
That...
Will the SVT Open track at SAAC be the same session as the SAAC open track or is it a seperate run group?
Don't feel like playing follow the leader like we did at VIR two years ago.
If I have to run with the SAAC sightseers I may just pass on the open track and save that for the NASA events.

A steal if somebody can use this size.
I have a set of 4 Hoosier R6 P225-50-ZR16 tires for sale. the tires were bought from Tire Rack and were heat cycled by them. The tires were only used for 3 laps at LRP. My problem with them is that they rub a little on my Mini, my loss is your gain. I...
We all have our opinions about who is fastest, which track is the best and nobody will ever agree on one guy or one track. But after the days Open tracking is completed.
Which event, track, state........offers the best in after hours fun, fun, fun.(Las Vegas Hookers don't count)
I know we...
Is this event still a good to go.

Ken Walder has suggested a "Road Trip" next season to Watkins Glen in NY state. As a regular partisipant and instructor with Apex, I can guarantee you will have a great time at the Glen. In addition to running one of the best road courses in the US and home to Nascar, Irl, and way to many SCCA...
I heard these characters were gonna be there. Who are these guys? I know this picture was taken a Watkins Glen so they must be serious about track time.
Every group of guys that gets together for some event weather it's a ball game, golf outing, or in our case Open tracking they're is always at least one guy who is the class clown of the group. You know the guy that keeps everybody laughing even before the serious imbibing starts. :beer...
Per the SAAC website,
The tracK is actually a complex of four courses, two of which can be run concurrently, The full course is 3.27 miles in length, has 18 turns, several elevation changes, a front straight that is 3000 feet long and a back straight that measures 4000 feet. That’s the one...
I see some of you 'R" drivers are posting the SAAC convention on next years Open Track schedule. If you have not already booked rooms I would suggest you do so soon. There are not any hotels close to the track other than the hotel at VIR itself which is very small and probably already sold out...
I read on another thread that some of you guys want to get the Club Cranky crew down to VIR. Well we have already booked "CASA Cranky" 3 miles from the track.
SAAC 31 will be at VIR next year, late June the weekend before July 4. A four day event of Open tracking and all the usual Shelby stuff...
