Well, any L that's still stock these days will inevitably have a dead I/C pump. A lot of them have fallen into the hands of clueless owners.

Does anybody know the center to center measurement of the mid pipes at the resonator? I'm looking at adapting an aftermarket X-pipe for an S550 to a different platform, but need to know if the X would be 4" or 4.5" etc. Thank you!

Keep the Lightning, or get a higher mileage Lightning you're not afraid to drive often.

I'm back to a basic bolt-on truck and love it. If you do any mods at all, keep the stock parts stashed away so you can return it to stock.

I love my E55 AMG out of warranty. As easy to work on as a domestic, and many of the parts cost less than Motorcraft equivalents.

Lots of misinformation in this thread regarding the E55. Maintenance and parts costs being blown out of proportion. These cars are easy to work on - domestic easy. The Airmatic struts can be replaced with Arnotts with Goodyear bags and lifetime warranty. Powertrain is damn near bullet proof and...

Don't know if my speakers suck, or it's because I daily drive a Lightning...but those trucks sounded awful.
