I figured. That's the whole purpose of this post. The m122 swap, required adapter plate does not allow the use of aftermarket fuel rails. So I was curious what my options were with this swap to upgrade to a larger blower.

Well right now, I'm just going to finish the M122 swap, as it's getting close to being slapped together. However, I was looking into the future. With this swap, it opens the game up for other GT500 blowers, (as you know, so long term goal, 900whp, on stock bottom end. But my concern is the fuel...
I understand, I'll use whatever I need. Wasn't sure if octane booster is enough. B
But right now I don't know what the stock rails are capable of and I will want to upgrade passed the m122 eventually. I'm just curious if I'll be able to shoot for say 800-900whp on my motor if the stock rails...
I'm in the process of doing an M122 swap. However, with this swap and the adapter plate, it opens the gate to me for other GT500 blower's.
From what I understand, you cannot use an aftermarket fuel rail with this swap. If I wanted to swap to a larger GT500 blower, (to keep the driver side...
Understood. Why is the air flow different on that side? Seems like both sides are basically the same, no? While it seems everyone has made good points on me not bothering with the GT500 2.3, I still like the idea of being able to use a GT500 aftermarket blower.
I am already pot committed to...
Hmm, well that stinks. Any idea what they have done? I assume the GT500 snout won't work, since the m122 needs the m112 snout.

Yes, it also leaves me open for a 2.3 TVS blower off of a GT500, which would remove the 5.8 lettering all together.

Sweet, I didn't even see that! Thanks! You gave me the information I was looking for. Though now I'm not so sure, with the above replies.
However, I guess my point is that if it's the same as a TVS Cobra 2.3, why not? Seems it's about the same price as a regular TVS, same performance but I...
Something different. I kind of get tired of at every car show seeing all of the 03/04 Cobras with basically the same build, every time. Plus I have been thinking of compound boost and figured an M122 would be better for that job than a M112. So a mix of something different and it folds into the...
I know they are very solid. But I figured due to the characteristics of the IRS and the reasons behind what causes wheel hop to begin with, solid metal bushings in the sub frame would actually be ideal, imo. I guess I'll have to look into maybe having them made. Not even sure where I'd start...
Has any1 swapped the GT500 5.8 blower instead of the Eaton m122? I'm working on a m122 swap, but was curious if the TVS from the trinity would work with the adapter plate or if any1 has even done that swap? Any numbers or pros and cons versus the m122 swap?

I was just curious if they sell aluminum IRS Sub-Frame bushings? I have a 99 IRS I bought to build on the side, have powder coated, ect. I bought some parts of the FTBR kit, but was thinking I'd rather have some sort of solid sub-frame bushing instead of delrin. I know there is aluminum bushings...
I found someone selling a Bassani X-Pipe, but it doesn't come with the cats. Does anyone know if they sell just the cats for this kit or any1 have any recommendations on a high-flow cat to use in place, that will clamp into the kit?

That was my plan, but I was hoping to get a head start and buy my materials now. My car is stored until May 1st, and I don't have easy access until that day. But, no buggy.
I was thinking of doing the starter wire too. Since you seemed to have good results, I will likely do the same, as my mind...
I always like reading peoples input, so it wasnt too long for me. But, I absolutely agree that the existence of said product doesn't prove neccessity. I work on car audio for a living, since I was 18. So we're on the same wave length, just different thought processes.
I am curious, I take it...
Same size I was going, double 0 AKA 1/0. I planned on using copper audio wire, thinner strands, designed for extreme heat heavy duty audio systems output.
It's not really a sales pitch, I'm doing this because I can make a Big 3 kit myself, for cheaper (no offense to the aftermarket kits, I'm...
Happen to remember the measurements or length you bought? My car is in storage for another month. I'd like to get a head start on this. Order my wire, ring wire connectors and such. I've got an idea of what I'll need for the grounding kit, just not for the 3 primary wire upgrades.

Some vehicles don't have the proper grounding from the factory, or in our cars case inappropriate grounding and power cables. The entire cars electrical systems depend on properly gauged wire. If the power wire is too small, it will not supply the correct ppwer to the entire cars systems...
