    Brake Dust

Thanks for the tip on G-Loc!! Since I got all 4 scrubbed good while changing the tires, I'll see how fast it dusts again. I'll look into these pads soon but most of my attention now is on my new to me time capsule 2013 Roush Raptor. 8 years old and 24,000 miles - like new!

    Baby needs new shoes

Tires were hard to find here in Arkansas! Wound up going with the Pilot Super Sport in stock sizes for $345 per tire, mounted, balanced and tax in. Since we really don't run the car hard and will not track it, we're happy and so is my billfold! Thanks for all the input guys!!!

    New GT350 or keep '14 RS5

We started with an 09 GT500 and went to a 12 GT500 - BIG difference and then had to settle for a more "Adult" car for several years. Understand, these were my wife's car and she is a Mustang freak. Got her a new 17 GT with 6 speed and Recaro seats (she was 66 at the time) and it was nice, BUT -...

    Baby needs new shoes

Thinking about that as actually the Invos are just a bit more expensive!! Don't need the Sport Cup 2 as we will not track the car. Thanks!

    Baby needs new shoes

Our non-R threw a shoe last night so it's time for new tires now. Used Nitto Invo on our GT and the handling was super but sizes are not right for the non-R If I spec the R with 305/30 19 and 315/30 19 they are available. Or, I can spend more $ and go back with the factory Michelins. The car...

    Brake Dust

Thanks guys! I may just continue the dusting - LOL

    Brake Dust

Anyone else notice a quick buildup of dust on the wheels? (Sorry, not rims - I'm old school) Ours has only 6K on the clock but seems like there is a large amount of dust that builds up pretty quickly. Anybody have luck installing different pads?

Lot's of Engine Failures - Does not seem like isolated issue

Our 17 was bought new in Texas (non R) and I know the previous owner. At just over 6,000 miles it has used no oil between changes. We don't however drive it that much as it's the wife's car and it may go once a week to the bowling alley a few miles away! LOL When I do get to drive it though, I...

Question on the Gen 2 motor ?

Difference in price 350 vs. 500? Sort of a moot point if you're buying new as the 350 is out. Can't believe I'm going to say this since I'm an ex pro stock racer but maybe I'm older and occasionally wiser, but horsepower only counts if you can hook it up. I know our 12 had to have drag radials...

Question on the Gen 2 motor ?

We bought a GT500 PP new in 2012 and it was an awesome car after we sold our 2009 GT500. The power curve on the 12 was brutal but without drag radials first gear would bang off the rev limiter immediately. This year we got a 2017 GT350 with 4,000 miles on the clock. It had already had long tube...

So many new guy questions... Sorry!

You only need to make 1 small hole in the battery cover which is plastic, no biggie!

What Would Equal Length Headers Do?

When we bought ours with 4,000 miles it already had American Racing long tubes which appear to be pretty much equal length and a Corsa X pipe with high flow cats installed by Dallas Mustang before they went out of business. I saw the dyno slip showing 503 at the wheels when they did the tune...

    Couple questions

I just finished working with Lund on the nGauge and tune and they did an awesome job! Using the data log they even found an issue where the fuel trims were out of balance sided to side and suggested an exhaust leak on the passenger side. Sure enough, there was a crack in the high flow cat on the...

    Tough decision, need guidance.

Been there, done that! We had a lightly modded 17 GT with 6 speed, Recaro seats, wheels & tires and some other mods. My Son is the finance manager at our local dealership and we saw where they traded for an extra clean 17 GT350 with 4,011 miles so we decided to look. First thing we found was a...

Funny thing happened working with Lund on a tune

Final tune from Lund installed and the car is a beast. Pulls like a freight train from 4 - 8,000! Now it's time to just enjoy the ride!

Funny thing happened working with Lund on a tune

Installed the N Gauge and ran the datalog for the new tune from Lund and they were able to find that there was a 15% difference in fuel trims between Bank 1 & 2. Brandon said it looked to him like it was an exhaust leak on Bank 1. HE WAS SPOT ON! Put it up on the rack and found a crack in the...

    Purchasing a Lemon-Buyback 2018 GT350

We recently bought my wife a 17 for $49K - it has a clean Oasis & Carfax, only 4,011 miles and about $9K in mods with headers, X pipe, CAI, dyno tune, lowering springs etc. and it is spotless if that helps.

    Best SCT tuners?

Decided to keep the Livewire as is for the truck. Got the nGuage and went with Lund - very responsive. Flashed with stock, drove home easily - just a few miles and then installed the gauge and installed the tune. Now to datalog and get that to Brandon for fine tuning. Hated to sacrifice the dyno...

    It pays to have Cousins!

Thought of that too, but if I was going to the strip I would be using an octane booster to be safe.

    It pays to have Cousins!

As I said in previous post, the car was tuned at Dallas Mustang and showed 503 HP at the wheels, but we don't have the tuner or the stock tune. Talked to my cousin at the dealership and we will change the oil at 5,000 miles using Amsoil 5w 50 and then watch it for consumption. There is an...

    Gt350 resonator delete question

Ours has American Racing long tube headers with a Corsa X pipe which does the resonator delete. Not a cheap way to go for sure but it was done by the previous owner and I can tell you the sound is Awesome!!! PO had a personalized Texas plate "LOUD 350" It is! Also made 503 HP at the wheels...

    Best SCT tuners?

I had used 5 Star for previous gas trucks but was also thinking of Lund or Bama. What part of AR? We're finally back home in Clarksville after 20+ years. Ours only has 4K miles and PO says no oil consumption issues. Grateful to be able to be in contact with him.

    Best SCT tuners?

I don't mind the $150 and flashing to stock to have a baseline is easy and free - dealer is a cousin! The biggest question really is who is a reputable tuner for these motors??

    Best SCT tuners?

I believe that the device has to be sent to SCT to have it done, but it is possible. It sounds like a lot to deal with but with Dallas Mustang out of business I'm just not sure how aggressive they got with the tune that's in the car now to know if it can overcome the 91 octane here vs. 93 in Dallas.
