I’ve offered up counseling.. marriage counseling.. medication… therapy.
1. She says people in therapy are weak
2. She doesn’t need meds cause she’s not depressed
3. She says If I pay for it.. then it’s just all about me saying she’s a problem.
I'm not blaming you. If you tried to do what you can and she refuses to get out of it then your hands are tied. I think I went through something similar the last couple years and just came out of it, and it wasn't until I came out of it that I realized I was in a depressive state for years prior. I don't even know what caused it and didn't realize I was in it which means you don't think you need help getting out of it because there's nothing to get out of. I've never been a person that has depression issues and I still don't see myself that way, but something was definitely burdening me the last 2-3 years because when it lifted I felt like a new person.
Best thing you can do is not marry them.

Is she by chance taking care of someone like her mother or father?
I ask because my MIL lives with us and is a massive time suck for my wife. She spent the last 1.5 years running her around to all her appointments.
This had a horrible impact on my wife's health and weight. So much so I had to have a hard talk with her about what she was doing to herself.
Luckily I got through and she realized how bad she had gotten. She's been working out again 6 days a week.
I can relate to the inlaw circumstances. We had both my folks in our house and a new born. My wife made it through with flying colors. Me on the other hand had a tough time. I will say after the circumstances changed, the blessings have come with it. I mostly realized how much I appreciate the wife.

decent read. my wife and I separated about a month and a half ago after 10 years together, 7 married. Very cordial. she didn't want anything I earned or worked for and vice versa. ill buy her a nice 500k house and call it good. ill have to figure out this new dating scene, but I enjoy challenges.
