It never works out. Former best friend did the same thing during his first marriage and after the first threesome with another girl his wife left him for that girl. He doubled down and ended up with 2 girlfriends that he moved into his house.

They hated each other, he knocked up the 2nd one who already had 2 kids from other dads, the 1st one was in charge of accounting at his shop and stopped paying all bills and taxes. I clawed the business back as I was running the front office and we were able to get it close but we had a falling out and the business went under with massive debt. He stayed with both of them after that but the first gf eventually left him and he married the 2nd one that he had a kid with and they are already divorced. Lasted less than a year from what I can tell.

He said he was living the dream but I don't know one person who envied his situation. Money flying out every which way all the time and women at each other's throats nonstop. They even got into a fist fight at one point haha. Would not recommend.
That's some modern Leah vs. Rachel stuff there (on steroids). There's a reason why such relationships are not God's plan . . . and only work in porn and the occasional sitcom.

While my wife of nearly 7 years can definitely be unreasonable and is prone to overreacting, she's not a conniving, evil bitch like some of the women detailed in this thread.

When I hear about someone I personally know getting divorced I feel some combination of 3 things - sympathy as I feel bad for their situation, amusement as some relationships/marriages never should have been a thing in the first place (for near limitless reasons) and jealousy as now the guy doesn't have a wife he has answer to every damn day!

I haven't met more than a handful of people from this site but reading these stories I still feel a combination of these 3 feelings!

I’m surprised how accurate this is.

1 - Sympathy
2 - Humor/Irony
3 - Jealousy/Intrigue

I feel bad about the last one, especially because I have kids, but I think it’s human nature to think about things you don’t have.

File for divorce, you may be surprised at how evil your wife can become.

My wife told me that she wasn’t like the other girls and wouldn’t go after my retirement or anything.

Ha!

I had to pay her “for her portion” of two rental homes and my primary residence, all of which I owned years before meeting her. 401k, pension. I got to keep the two cars I owned prior to meeting her in exchange for her getting the FJ cruiser that I bought us, paid off of course lol.

They actually assigned a monetary value to my current and future sick leave and annual leave and tried to get that but eventually gave up.

Ya, I have 2 young sons myself and anytime I've ever thought it might be time to throw in the towel, I realize that would be (in some ways) giving up on them and everyone's life would be worse for it due to splitting of custody, home, wealth, etc and yet still having to deal with the ex on a regular basis.

The amusement/humor/irony part is pretty validating though because often some truths can be seen from the outside even if those in the relationship/marriage can't see it and likely wouldn't listen even if they were told about what others can see.

One of my best friends from high school and college years ended up marrying a girl that had been in our 200ish person graduating class from HS. We knew her but neither of us would have hung out with her or her friend group in HS partly because she was a ****ing bitch in HS.

Somehow a few years after HS they connect and despite her seemingly being a much nicer person then, I knew something was off with their relationship and that my friendship was likely not going to last with him either if he marries her. What do you know they get married, him and I mostly lose track of each other and less than 5 years later they are getting divorced as she had reverted back to her bitch persona.

After listening to the stories from my single friend I'm good with being out of the dating pool.

Oh I have no doubt she'd show evil that I've never seen in a divorce situation.

This thread reaffirms my belief that some women show that evil while IN the marriage and then become the damn antichrist during the divorce process.

And oof, that's a tough pill to swallow. I'm sure that was brutal on your net worth and likely delayed your retirement prospects by at least 5, if not 10+, years.
