 Salt belt boys need not apply!

Two Tesla Cybertruck owners voiced their concerns over their discovery that their expensive electric trucks had quickly developed "corrosion" and "orange rust marks."

Tesla-owner Will posted on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum that he began documenting the "corrosion" on his new Cybertruck.

He said he noticed his new vehicle had developed rust marks after just eleven days of ownership.

He said that he had 381 miles on it when he first discovered the odd specks.

Mustang V8 might survive until 2030 now.

Under the revised final regulation expected to be made public as soon as next month, the EPA will slow the pace of its proposed yearly emissions requirements through 2030. The new pace is expected to result in EVs accounting for less than 60% of total vehicles produced by 2030, the sources said.

Or maybe not.

The EPA is also expected to address other concerns raised by automakers including a proposal to drastically reduce particulate matter from gas-powered vehicles, which the industry has argued would effectively require gasoline particulate filters on every gas-powered vehicle.

Automakers also object to the EPA plan to largely eliminate the use of "enrichment" - a strategy to boost performance and prevent engine damage from hot exhaust gases - which they say would bar them from using some engines.
Automakers have also sounded the alarm over the Energy Department's proposal to significantly revise how it calculates the petroleum-equivalent fuel economy rating for EVs in the Transportation Department's Corporate Average Fuel Economy program, saying it would sharply boost fines for not complying.

A warehouse storing 900 tons of lithium batteries waiting to be recycled went up in flames this afternoon, amid growing fears over their dangers.

Pay no attention to the hazmat dust being dispersed over you.

The fire in France occurred at a storehouse in the town in Viviez in Aveyron, and residents were told to stay indoors by authorities.

Locals were ordered to keep their doors and window closed as the thick smoke engulfed the town. No injuries or deaths were reported.

Had to chuckle a little over this...guys have been bitching for years about the unpainted rear axles in their $85K trucks turning to a rusty mess instantaneously in the rust belt.
The cybertruck is no different. Cars are disposable around here....

While I had rust on my rear axle as well I wouldnt say cars are automatically "disposable" up here due to rust. Just gotta take care of your own shit is all, I buy the gallon bucket and am good for a few years between my DD Raptor and wifes DD sedan.

Cosmoline undercoating, car wash with underbody spray and wipe the doors and door jams down = not letting rust start. I also take care of rock chips every spring.

It's surprising that passivation is not a part of the manufacturing process on those SST body panels. It's not hard, you can use vinegar if you need to.
