I thought this was a fun look at the Cyber Truck.
I'm not a huge EV guy, but the innovation and thought put into it is pretty cool.
If nothing else, it may give the Big 3 ideas for their own lineup.

11.0 @ 119mph and it can get close to the same number at 30% battery is pretty impressive.
The styling...meh, trucks have looked the same for 70 years for a reason.

Purely for the spectacle, here is the Cybertruck AWD variant, towing a Porsche 911, drag racing the slowest trim level of a 911:

Good video, but he didn't address any of the normal truck capabilities- towing, cargo space, off-road capability, range, etc.

It's hard to imagine an uglier vehicle. but the cost and ingenuity will contribute to it being a status symbol. They'll be everywhere.

Looks useless for actual truck work. I can't believe it made to production looking like that.
I hear ya! You ain't gonna drop anything in over those huge sides...
But it is a 4'x6' bed, and most people are cruising crew cabs with 5.5 beds. The majority of people aren't working their trucks these days...
I was a little surprised that there is a 10% reduction in mileage from leaving the bed cover rolled up.

But it is 100% ugly. Its funny, old '40's WWII Trucks were built with function first, form last...and they STILL look good. It is possible to have both.

Has anyone come across one of the new Hummers in the wild yet? Those things are massive and heavy. I shudder at the thought of some suburban soccer mom wheeling these through traffic. They will destroy everything in their path in an accident. And then, for fun, burst into an inextinguishable flaming marshmallow.

And, the Cyber truck is fugly as sin. 'bout as useful as tits on a bull.

Yep. Blasting over Rt.78w in PA at about 90+mph. Wasting no time!

They are HUGE compared to normal passenger vehicles!

I’ve seen a couple here in SoCal. Rivians, lucids and all the other weird EV’s too.

Apparently that's how they got it lighter than their competitors...I wonder what else is "light weight" and ready to break.

I had to laugh, they put out a "Truck pull video", but if you have friends that pull they'll tell you...just like drag racing...the driver mod matters.
Maybe that's not true with new stuff with all the electronic nannys? Get in, flat foot it, and let the truck do the work?

Remember how radical the 1993 Dodge Ram was at the time? Bob Lutz had a great story about that one.

I've seen a handful around here.

2 things - A 2002 Ford Explorer has a beefier UCA than the CT. And 2nd - who thought it was a good idea to notch a hole in the frame rail to run a tie-rod through?

At the CT's price point Tesla could have easily made that piece an aluminum forging.

Ha! That was great. I wasn't expecting the ending. That ugly dog can scoot!

I don’t care how it performs.

That’s the ugliest vehicle since the Pontiac Aztec.

It’s actually worse in my opinion.

I have thought the same from the first time I saw a photo of the Cyber Truck. The Aztek looks like Sophia Loren by comparison.
