I have a Tundra Capstone and love it. The build quality is far better than my Raptor and the fuel economy is excellent.

My neighbor has the same in the pearl white. Paint and interior are next level.

But: I can't help to think this is what Buick would have come up with if they were in the truck business.

Took me a second, but the Yota’s looks grew on me big time. All that truck needs is a level/wheel/tires and good to go! Very aggressive truck.

I dig it. My favorite looking gasser (besides the new Fraptor and Rexxer)… Crazy they let go of that ROCK SOLID V8. ****ing losers. Lol

In a year or two I don't know if they'll offer a V8 in anything aside from a small handful of Lexus cars. I think the RC-F and the IS500F sport basically.

The GX460 is becoming the GX550 so the 1UR is getting dropped

Tundra/Sequoia already lost the 3UR for the new 3.5 TT V6

The LX570 to LX600 same story, 3UR to 3.5 TT V6

The 1UR and 3UR may have been underpowered in current year but damn if they didn't just keep on trucking til the end of time.

V8's at Toyota are done for.

I saw Toyota talking how the V35A-FTS has 1/5 the emissions of the old 5.7 and half the emissions of Ford's 3.5 Turbo. This is something they claim to prioritized over max fuel economy or power output. *Shrug

Toyota certianly has a vision for the future and I have to admit, it sounds better then those pushing EVs.

About 10 years ago we had a consultant who's best friend worked at Toyota, head of seat design and safety. The friends brother had been a traveling salesman who died from a leg blood clot caused by to much wheel time 30 years of various years Ford Taurus.

Toyota stated goal was to never cause harm to its vehicles owners. This comes in Toyotas extensive and intrusive safety systems (DENSO invented the Radar cruise control) as well as why apparently new Toyotas "smell" different (reducing toxic plastic odor).

Apparently Toyota has a lot of effort in seat comfort and also those annoying "you've been driving for more than 3hrs, pull over and rest warnings".

Ok hear me out. I feel bad for even going here but... I was driving for some gun fun today and there was this new Tundra with a small lift, rims, tires.....all color matching. Cough Cough...it looked REALLY GOOD. I even told the guy how great it looked. There I said it.

I see you are a man of good taste.

We have a 2017 Silverado we bought with 50k miles. Always felt like something was misfiring etc. repeated trips to the dealer they finally replaced the transmission. It is smoother but still off. We just put a deposit on a brand new GMC Sierra Denali. 6.2 and almost every option. If this truck fails us I’ll never go back to GM. Seems all my friends with the Rams are happy so that would be next.

The Nissan vk56 is the last of what I would call the old school with no dod, start/stop, ect. Sadly next year is the end of the road for it.
