On the rack to get the alignment squared away

Finally back on the ground after a week

Just a quick shot after a cruise on the beach. She rides great on normal mode and noticeably stiffer on sport mode. I wasn’t overly impressed with the stock setup as it felt kind of floaty and it’s mass was definitely noticeable. The new suspension setup makes the car much more planted and confidence inspiring.

Does anyone have wheel pics/specs with a similar (~1.5”) drop? Being this low I’m afraid I’m limited. I’m looking to run 305’s in the rear on 20” wheels all around.

Hopefully I can get some proper pics soon. For the next round of mods, I’m thinking ARH longtubes with a catted midpipe, BPS elbow, and updating the tune from BJ. The current tune feels great (no dyno numbers) but I’d like to be in the 700-750whp neighborhood. From what I’ve seen, my current mods plus those planned net about 720whp with his tuning.

Well done. I’m not sure in the 305s on a lowered setup but they also make a 305/30/20 now that would likely work best with the 3.31s. The tall 315/35/20 on an a stock 9.5” rear would be a more difficult fit.
Great mods and great car!

Nice, common sense mods. Must make your GT-500 feel like a new delivery from the factory. Those weld cracks on the Stainless Works are crazy. Nice that you found that and corrected it.

Looks awesome man, and yes you'll be fine running 305 or 315s with those lowering springs.

Thanks guys, I was debating between keeping the 3.31 vs. installing 3.73 but at the end of the day the stock gearing was fine for what I want out of this car: a reliable cruiser.

Time to look for a new set of shoes now and I’ll call her good for now. Then LT’s and updating the tune. Curious as to why some people say to forgo the BPS elbow?

I’m also not sure on any BPS issues and think the elbow/TB upgrade is worthwhile, I just think a cruiser is even better with gears.
As a non-track/non-DD cruiser that doesn’t see rain, then gears make even more sense!
Gears and sticky rubber FTW.

What's everyone running for sticky tires? I'm running Toyo R888R's on the other Mustang but damn are those things loud. Looking for something that can handle a surprise down pour, South Florida can let loose at anytime during the summer months

Not trying to start shit, we'll see where this goes.

I'm in the same region and I get the pop up showers. All my cars get the R888 outback, MPSS up front. I feel the safest honestly with the Toyo and I prefer the stiffer sidewall for on ramps. Are they as sticky as drag radials, no.

I do not understand things being to "loud" for folks? Maybe they are, I don't hear em because I guess with some sort of gain, you have to be willing to give up something.

I say they are loud because of my experience with them on my other mustang. It could be because they are on all corners. Looks like we share the same driving styles as I like taking on-ramps with with a grin. What size toyos/ MPSS are you running?

I run a 20x11 rear 305/35.
275/35 up front 20x9.5 wheel

The rear did get stiffer when I removed the MPSS on the rear. I did that because of my power level. Safety

If you can find them :(

Exactly. I got those 305/35/20 Nitto 555RII's ($899.73 OTD) on the rear from Discount Tire but it took several weeks to get them in. Definitely recommended though, low tire noise and good traction. Best of luck.

Hey Kel. Good to see your fine looking ride. Are they still having the weekly car shows at Norwin Hills.
