They're still not close to normalized production, a highly desirable state for consumers.

Isn't that the same for damn near every industry?

Sky high ADM's and accessories added in that we didn't want. The breaking point was when we were closing the deal for the advertised online price on a Honda, the sales manager hit us with an additional $2,500 for a Dealer Accessory Package on a USED vehicle. This was floor mats, nitrogen, protection crap, etc. That particular car was purchased brand new at the same dealer, and I bet they charged the same $2,500 to the original purchaser. So, they essentially made $5k off a set of rubber floor mats.

Other dealers we visited weren't this bad, but they all had those accessory packages added and refused to remove them.

With that said, cars are still selling so maybe it's just me...

Yeah that's silly. Holler at me next time.

Im done with dealers after my last attempt to buy. Dealers in my area are disgusting. Im sticking to private party from this point forward.
I bought my GT350 from a private seller who, by some miracle, was in the same city as I was. The car was 6 months old and had 500 miles on it. Best part about Nevada is we don't pay sales tax on private party sales. This fact alone has pushed me into looking at private sellers before dealers, even before all of the dealer shenanigans started (ADMs, nitrogen in tires, VIN etching, etc. that they add on to rape you).

I'm looking for a Mach 1 now and I'm going to have to be very patient and find the unicorn that I found with my GT350 because these people are nuts! Local dealer here in Vegas has a Mach 1 with handling pack (great car...amazing) for $92k. You read that right, $92k. Same dealer has a $5k ADM on Ford Edges. LOL

Dealership where I bought my wife's SUV advertised that all their SUV's were at MSRP. Wow! Great! Look at their site and sure enough, they will sell you any size SUV for MSRP, but they have added on a "desert protection package" at $3,000. LOL I guess the package protects you from cacti and wild burros.

That's not too far off from the norm. The RS cars usually always pulled $150-200k over.

IF I could get my hands on a GT4RS at $50k over or so, I'd buy one.

I wasn't really claiming it's new. Just that it's not like ford's the only one out here pulling big adm's.
