I'm curious as to what you guys think. It's going to be hard to complete with that auto and 800+hp.

I'm mainly talking about on the street. My 700 rwhp range terminator is falling behind .

Then again, that car is well north of 100k. Local guy just bought one and paid 124k.

Well, right away you have about a 500 pound advantage.
Your lighter 700 rwhp 6 speed should be close to their 710ish rwhp with the auto. No?

Our cars are old lol. I think the more power we make, the more we need an auto. was talking to a few 03 cobra pioneers yesterday at the shop. They were making 1100-1200rwhp back in the day and they all said once you hit a certain hp, you have to go auto. People do fool around with the stick, but, unless you are a pro at driving and shifting these cars, which we all know are hard to drive, we need an auto. Little more cubic inches, big blower, more compression. Id like to see how a boss block would do. Built up, with a gen 5 whipple. Heck, maybe add a stroker kit. 323 324 Ci.

Part of the problem is all the technology in the new car. They are factory designed to plant that kind of power. You are 2x of what the factory designed your car to handle. Roll racing, you might have a shot, from a dig, the gt500 has the advantage.

I think how well you can put down the 700hp is the main thing. Driver mod and weight advantage will go pretty far. I can walk my buddies hellcat charger because of those factors. But if I spin forget it.

DCT is the big Ace, along with all that power that is engineered to grab the asphalt like a cat's claws on carpet.

Depends what mods he ends up doing to the GT500. A video was posted the other day of a stock GT500 that had a really good run with what I remember was a VMP 2.3 cobra making 600ish whp.

However FBO E cars are making nasty power and getting into the 5s even 4s 60-130 which is faster then 90% of cobras. MOST G5 cobras even are low 6s

When the 2020's 1st came out, all the talk was about how much better the traction was.
Now I see threads like this,....................& have to wonder ??

I must be an outlier because I think these are the easiest cars to drive
you must be a good driver. Not everyone can powershift the stock T56 and 800rwhp. My friend venomous john still holds some 2003 cobra records and that man made the car sound like it had an auto. Even he said the terminator is not an easy car to tackle.
