I'll get around to watching it when I reverse-age to a teenager, become a nerd and transition gender to a girl that likes twilight.
As a grown man, I've got better things to do with my time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an appointment with pornhub.

Watch or read Hush. The Riddler in this movie is modeled after Hush.

It's supposed to be. Matt Reeves said he made the movie understanding that most viewers have seen every movie and TV and comic version of Batman, so if something is thrown in that could be construed as an easter egg, it probably is. He doesn't feel he needs to explain stuff like that to the audience, they'll most likely get it.
They’re 2 different characters. Hush's true identity is Thomas…childhood friend of Bruce Wayne's.

Nygma aka riddler became more unstable and crazy after gaining access to the Lazarus Pits which cured his train tumor. He learned thru the transformation whom Batman’s true identity was.

DR. Nygma said that the name started out as a joking reference to the need to keep Tommy's identity secret whom he teamed with to take the bats down.

The movie portrayed the riddler as cunning and methodical but toughness wasn’t one trait he displayed. Should have been an actually doctor as well as older.

Its not the original riddler I was hoping to seen. Having a devious man wearing a three-piece suit and acting more-so like a doctor would would have been a far better story line. Especially the ending of having a tie back into working at Arkham. Thus maybe accidentally being let free because of his doctor status.

Not even if it were free.

The endless reboots are just so tiring already.

Trailers are supposed to entice you to see the film. With me it generally has the opposite effect.

its the most comic accurate portrayal of batman yet. aside from the shitty catwoman and gordon casting its dope.
There's a ton of different portrayal's of Batman.... Not all Batman's were emo like. Good detective-ish movie but was a bit overhyped about that.

I enjoyed the movie, better than I thought but not amazing. I still would've prefer seeing a Batfleck vs Deathstroke movie as it was originally planned.

Ehh … was average to me. I’m not a comic book nerd or really ever cared much about Batman though.

Pros:
Darker side, less kid friendly. They cuss in it. Back story was kind of cool about his parents. Decent fight scenes

Cons:
Casting was below par, especially Wayne and Gordon. Too long, could’ve moved a little quicker. The emo side was too much, we get it he’s depressed but damn. Last scene was over the top with the rifles, flooding, etc.

And ya they just had to stick the “white privilege” line in it, then have a female black mayor talking all this change (cough obama cough). That was it for the wokeness, so didn’t ruin it but could’ve done without it.

I agreed, at first, with the take on the whole "white privilege" remark, but after watching the whole scene play out I have to say that the remark she made didn't make her look righteous or good at all. It actually made her look ignorant and like an idiot for saying it because she was clearly wrong about Bruce without knowing it because she didn't know who she was talking to. It was a classic moment of foot in mouth had she known his identity. So was it actually a woke comment added into the movie or was it a take on how stupid and ignorant the whole "white privilege" attitude and excuse really is?

I did finish watching it. It was a LONG movie that dragged at times; TOO long IMO. I really had to take a break at the 1 1/2 hour mark. Overall, I was disappointed. Too dark (throughout) for my tastes. I found it hard to stay focused on the story line.

Robert Pattinson as the Batman (and Bruce Wayne) was a good choice IMO. But Zoë Kravitz as Cat Woman was disappointing. Poor acting on her part.

I was really hoping that this movie would be a good one. It's one of those movies where if you missed watching it, well, you didn't miss much, unless you're a diehard Batman fan who has to see them all. JMO.

Thought it was ok, but don't feel compelled to ever watch it again like I did with most of the Nolan and Burton movies. Pattinson turned out to be convincing in the role but the Riddler was miscast. Every time I see that guy, I remember his character in There Will Be Blood and can't help chuckling at any of his attempts to emote or otherwise be scary or threatening.

Too long, story and villains sucked.

Nolan ones were great seen all 3 a number of times. This was "good" interesting twist on the backstory but kind of lingered. Plus I like the more modern feel in the Nolan movies. More Batman/Bond then 70/80s tech.

Was it just me, or did anyone else want to cut their arms, and burn themselves with cigarettes while watching this movie..? Does the sun never shine in Gotham city. Good lord it’s was depressing. Not as much as the latest Joker movie (which was a good movie I think), but almost. Haha.

Kidding aside. The Batman himself in this movie was spot on to be honest. That’s what makes him one of the best comic hero’s of all time.

Edit- Batman is second on my list of the best comics. Right behind the Punisher. That’s a movie that’s needs to be remade better then the others.

Was better than the Ben Affleck ones. lol
Recently, the Nolan trilogy is still the top dog but this version could have potential to be pretty good.
