I was going to buy a 2021 GT500, went through all the nonsense and said forget it. I am glad I waited because I actually want a GT350 more then I want the GT500. You can get a super low mile ford certified GT350 in the low 50’s If you negotiate. To me I would rather spend less and still get a car I am happy with then overpay and wait forever.

Zip it! :D lol The difference is the resale value is apples to oranges. Its actually one of the biggest deciding factors for me when deciding to buy the TH.

Don’t you drive a $100k Jeep?
C’mon now let’s stay fair and balanced. :)

OP if you can get them to give you the ‘Golden Ticket’ car for $5k over you should take it.

Or you can do a painted stripe HE CFTP car and be at $112k MSRP.
Ask me how I know :)

Wow. Now that is a KILLER deal! MSRP on a car like that?! Exceptional.
How did you score that?

Response from dealer just moments ago:

The only 2022 model we are getting has to be a Golden Ticket per Ford. They just don’t have everything to make the cars. If you do not want the painted stripes then you will have to wait for a 2023. I can not control the price increase from Ford. If it moves to a 2023, the price will increase. Ford only secures pricing on same model year.

So, it has to have painted stripes - which I do not want. So build price is approaching $130k with the 10k markup.

They're lying.

Based on what I've read so far, no way in hell would I trust what that dealer says. It's pretty apparent that you're just wasting your valuable time with them.

OP, do yourself a big favor and connect with Nick (@13COBRA). Even if he can't get you the car you want, you'll get very valuable advice which will certainly help you with whatever dealer you do end up with.

I wish I had more to go around.

In fact, maybe this dealer can take one of my base allocations and I'll take his CFTP car ;)

Like I always say, if you can order ANYTHING from Anderson/Nick, you'll get service before/during/after that will far exceed pretty much any other dealership.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate that.

As I said in another forum, that sounded like BS. Dealers are just doing whatever and its sad. They know somebody will come along and pay the rip off price. It should not be allowed but here we are.

Lol yes you are correct. That's what happens when you are typing in multiple sessions at work and in the forums !

Thought it looked funny but just hit the reply button anyway!

$92k for a Mustang--A ok
$118k for a Mustang--Hard pass!!

lmao

Take the GD car and make some money on it after flogging the shit out of it for 800 miles or so.
They make GTs and Mach 1s for those who can't afford GT500s, with the aftermarket providing options for those models to increase in power and capability. Redeyes top out over 90K. Z28s were 75K sticker years ago. Loaded Explorers are 60K. It's just the pricing insanity of the times we live in. When a car legitimately competes with cars over 150K and in the case of the R over 200K it's a pretty damn good value.

What $200k+ car does the R compete with?

I'd be happy to pass along the dealer name and sales person contact if you're interested - just PM me. Note that this car also has to have the painted stripes so closer to $130k.

I just received my deposit back so the car is available.

911 GT3 RS. Laptimes…

Take your broke-ass over to the other subsections where your juvenile behavior is acceptable. You can’t afford the car and want to run your mouth about how GT500s aren’t worth it. Okay then take your ass to another section and whine about it…
