Yep, for those hoping to see a future ICE GT-500 after the last production year (2022), it's not going to happen.

On a good note my original Eruption Green car order was picked up last week and will have a VIN and build week Thursday.
While I was at dealer I found the development engineer I’d seen locally will have a Heritage Edition CFTP delivered thru VIP to my dealer in June.
He and I ordered identical specs except I went painted black stripes vs his painted white.
My dealer confirmed if he gets my HE CFTP build I’ll still get it. He said he’d buy the green car back even if I drive it a few months.
I’ll be happy either way!
Good luck hunting out there.

Why is that? Was it announced already? I thought the ICE Mustang was going to be around longer it was announced?

Surely Ford hasn't bought into Socialism being forced on everyone.

I think we’re expecting the ‘23 S650 to be NA Coyote based and S650 GT500s will be hydrid based not true ICE.

Post #4000 for me :LOL::coffee::LOL:

The MY20+ GT500 is leaps and bounds better than the MY13/14.

Sent from my Potato
As it should be.
A S197 is leaps and bounds better than a SN95 too.
Also, double the price of a SN95 when they arrived.

Did he have his Hands on the wheel, cruisin' down the interstate? Coulda feel the speed from his head to his toes… if so Oh, now I bet He knows how Richard Petty feels
2am this morning, FLMAO at this.
Damn song stuck in my head cutting the grass this morning.

True, Nick, but there are those like @1Kona_Venom, who still feel the MY13/14 is the epitome of GT-500 goodness, in large part because it has the 6-speed manual.

It's honestly more than the transmission.
The overall aesthetics of the S197 are more appealing to me and at sub $50k, it was affordable, which is what mustang was, and is suppose to be.
The Terminator is my 2nd favorite body style.

ICE Mustang after 2022? Yes. ICE only GT500 after 2022? No.
So are we going to see something along the lines of what AMG is doing?

Flat rock has been down more weeks than it's been up this year.

Joking...but not really.

This is what we should expect. ICE plus electric in S650 top trims IMO.

This nonsense always happens. Same people who say a Coyote powered S197 can be built to be faster than a GT500, they just don't get it.

I am on the fence between a GT and GT500. I think I would rather have an all out procharged 10a than a gt500. I am having trouble with the idea of a 100k mustang that does everything worse than the 65k version.

I will lose on the resale value but I do not care about that.
