Been a long time folks, but I figured I'd post up this latest video. I am sure you guys will "love" this one. Got my flame suit loaded up for the hate.

Jokes aside, I hated EVs until I drove one. It really did change my mind. Driving one may change yours too... Save "gas money" for more ammo and some Race Gas for the Cobra on Sunday drives.

As far as my Cobra guys. Currently its "broke" with a failed repair to my factory lower. All the repaired bushings backed out/fell apart. Have a metco 0 lower waiting to be installed next.

Sunken cost, alot of men have a deep and borderline emotional attachment to I.C.E. race/street/show cars.

They are SO monetarily, physically, mentally and emotionally invested that the fact that the world around them is changing only makes them dig their heels in deeper.

I was on board with electric until I drove one lol.

2.5 miles into a test drive of a 3 dual motor and probably 6-7 hard take offs from traffic lights and I had already got used to the power. Nothing else about the car was particularly exciting.

Acceleration boost helps with that

Runs 11.8 @ 116 with it

Performance 3 runs I believe 11.4-11.6 @ 116

That would help for a little bit, but I still have never got used to a (honestly, pretty quick) car so fast.

I can definitely understand how people love them, and on paper I thought I was going to as well but I'm struggling to remember a car I was more let down on.

It would be a great beater, just needs to cost like $45k less lol.

^this. I drove a ludicrous tesla and it was boring despite how fast it was. The violence of ICE + transmission make the experience in a way that I did not fully appreciate until driving an EV.

I can understand your points. The Boost does help tremendously in the midrange and "throttle" response.

The Model 3 drives so much different than any car the vast majority of people have ever driven. So by default, it will be love or hate. Its that much "out of the box"

For me, one of my most favorite things powertrain wise, is actually the lack of a transmission.

Any speed. Any "rpm". You have instant, and constant, torque output. Even in very slippery conditions. Noted by the videos sub 4 second 0-60 on a slushy slippery road

I hate the idea of them being forced upon us.
This.

And most Tesla drivers around here are douche bags. I had one cut me off last weekend going to a cars and coffee with the wife. I was the only one in my lane. Plenty of room in front and behind me to get in the lane without being a dick.

And they just have no style IMO. They like a blob to me. My cousin bought one and even admits the fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired. I'd be pissed if the interior of my $150K car was falling apart within a few months of ownership.

I drove a couple of them and for me they felt soleless.

Yes they are very quick. But I still love the raw, vibrating rumble of my turbo 347 in my 93 LX.

For a city car or a daily commuter car it'd be great.

For rural NW Iowa not for me.

There is a function over form aspect to the exterior design however to remember.

The model 3 I believe is one of the most aerodynamic mass produced cars ever made. Needs to be to be as efficient as it is.

Second, the Model 3 is the safest vehicle ever tested to be in during a car accident. And its not even close.

Those decisions go into making the car "kinda ugly"

That's why I love having both.
