Just recently canceled cable TV, kept high speed internet and subscribed to NetFlix. Saved over $100 bucks a month, no more renting Wall-E for the kids 20 more times at $3.99-$5.99 a pop! Shit adds up!$$$$$! Amazing how much better the picture quality is now on our newer tv's!

Anywayz, just wanted to see if anyone has seen any decent movies lately. Fridays are movie night at home. Any Suggestions?

LOL about the kids haha! Sound like a terrible parent but all we need to do is give them their Ipads and they turn into little zombies.

That's the only way the chill part gets done these days...plus all I need is a few seconds....haha (please no gone in 60 seconds jokes!)

sometimes you have to bend momma over the washing machine and be a minute man while the kids are eating lunchables....

I canceled a $150 a month TV package and went with:

Netflix: $15
Hulu Live: $50
Amazon Video: $10
HBO: $15

So $90 a month and I don't miss out on anything, and the kids love it.

We have been using netflix for years but just cancelled it. Still have about 2 weeks remaining on this months payment. We started using Hulu last year when they were running a promotion for .99 cents a month for the first year. We really like hulu, seem to find more TV shows on it that we can get into vs netflix. We have spectrum cable but are cancelling them within the next few weeks as well.

My wife really wants to sign up for the disney streaming service when it goes live. She swears there will be plenty on there I will like but I doubt it. Will be picking up hulu live once our 1 year deal finishes up.

Canceled Netflix when they got rid of the rating system to cover for Amy Schumor.

Don't watch tv enough anymore to justify paying for cable, we have Netflix and prime which is more then enough. I had crave for a few months which wasn't bad at first but they seem slow to add anything more to it, plus GOT is over so and I finished ballers so lol. Ill probably get the Disney streaming service though when it comes out towards the end of this year.

Youtube TV here.

It was the cheapest way to watch F1 and the infinite dvr is pretty cool.

We still have netflix, amazon and hulu but I think some other people pay for that lol.

75% of my tv viewing is Live PD, so AE is my go-to channel. Dropped DirecTV earlier this year and have Hulu+ (with local channels), Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV. I tried Netflix last year but honestly didn't have much use for it. Not enough available prime movies and I'm not into their series stuff. So my bottom line went from $170 a month to $50 a month. Took some time to adjust to Hulu's channel guide (it pales to DirecTV's), but the cost savings makes it palatable. For movies, we pretty much rely on Amazon Prime Video, which is awesome IMO.

We have free Netflix through T-Mobile which is only 90 bucks a month including my watch plan. Chernobyl was great and watching Designated Survivor now.

Honestly, it wasn't even a "principle" move even thought they've gone full retard on thr SJW content.

I tend to like off brand and B-Movies so it was aggravating not to be able to get a heads up if something was garbage before I watched it. I also used the rating system to track if I already watched a movie since Netflix constantly recommends crap you've already watched.

The whole algorithm system is trash.

Maybe it's me but I find their layout hard to navigate and the amount of content they have overwhelming.

Half the time I just end up watching YouTube on my phone or just give up trying to find something.

I remember the thread you made about this and kept telling myself to dig in deeper and get educated on it.

Im over $150/mo for TV also and it has to go! My wife is the biggest lover of DirecTV though, so its going to be a tough sell unless i know what im talking about when i pitch it to her.
