I don't even notice it curved anymore. they say it's better for viewing at angles.

Yeah, I read that our eyes receive picture better...I don't know about all that haha Next time, I'll probably just get another flat one.

Sony OLED. Really love the picture. Lots of nice TVs out there. For OLED, LG or Sony would be your best bet.

I have two samsung 65 inch 8 series TVs. Absolutely the best. Go stare at best buys giant wall of tvs. Blacks and contrast make and break your Tv experience. I wasnt sure on the extra coin for an 8 series vs 6 till i saw it in person. Swipe that credit card. Lol.

Picked up a 70” Vizio for an even grand 2 Christmases ago...

Great for a downstairs/secondary/sports TV.

However, not having a traditional remote sucks.

My 55” Insignia has been great for almost 8 years... but, it’s not the kind of Tv people make threads about :)

My Panasonic Plasma is still kicking and eating lots of electricity.

I still have a 65 pany plasma and an old pioneer elite that’s gotta be at least 10 years old. Both still work great and if it ain’t broke I don’t **** with it.

I also hate anything Samsung makes and would never buy there products.

I've got a big old Pioneer Elite too. It's my main TV. You can also seat tree people at it if you run out of table space at Tanksgiving.

Look VERY hard at Sony, they have consistently been winning the "shootouts". Sony 5-10 years ago, was meh, but now are on top again. Also from a timing perspective their latest "G" series are just coming out, so you can get the latest model. Buy the best you can. As you move up the line the video processing gets better, which is CRUCIAL especially in a larger panel. The master series are incredible (both OLED and fully array LED)

I think the real key is to get one that will last 10 years without breaking. I used to be all about the picture quality, but even the low end stuff is good enough for 99% of anything you'll watch.

I went from a 4k LED Vizio, to a 4k HDR OLED LG, and the picture quality is insanely better on the LG. Y'all must be blind.

Highly suggest the LG OLED. I bought a B8 series. Watching Grand Tour on it in HDR with some tuning tweaks, it's gorgeous.

Just google which actually looks better then you will know why OLED is more $$$.

Basically QLED is a step up from LED. OLED is at the top. To me QLED is a gimmick aka not the real mccoy. Its clever how samsung's marketing has used the Q which looks like an O. Can't beat the real deal though.

My cheap ass is just waiting for the 65" OLED tvs to go under $1k. Getting impatient now :(

I have a 60 inch Kuro Signature Series Elite. It still gets an awesome picture but has been retired to the bedroom. Wanted bigger for my main TV.

LULZ at making any decisions based on looking in the store. The tuning is so far off in there it's ridiculous. Contrast, and brightness jacked through the roof lol.

When it came to TVs/Monitors I was a hardcore Samsung Nut swinger. Samsung 55", 58", 64", and a bunch of 22" monitors. I thought no one could beat them. Amazing picture. I still use my 58" everyday as our main. Well it came time to get a bedroom TV because we moved our old one to the Bonus room. I was 100% going to get a Samsung to put in there. Well my dad had just bought a 68"? LG OLED 4K and he just raved and raved about it. He got it after we put a cheap 42" LG LED in the shop as a shop TV.

I was standing in the store ready to buy the Samsung and then looking at the LG that was 4" bigger at a cheaper price I got it instead. The LG LED 4K Ultra HD is amazing. Way better than I could imagine. It was 6X" for less than $700.

We have had a Vizio before and know quite a few people with them. The picture is bad comparing to other name brands. There is a reason they are so cheap.

I went with the 65" LG OLED instead of something bigger in LED. Watching something in HDR or Dolby Vision is unreal, you won't regret it. Keep an eye out for sales on the LG too. I bought mine around November last year so that model TV was done at the end of the year, got a decent discount on it.

I'm a bit of a TV snob (look back through old TV threads I'm sure I posted in most of them). I thought I'd never like a TV better than my 65VT60 Panasonic Plasma and then OLED finally came along. I have a 77" LG C8 OLED and it is amazing. Like @colin450 posted above, HDR/Dolby Vision is awesome on it. I have it in my media room and mainly watch movies and sports on it. There's a reason it's the best picture CNET ever tested.

Where are you finding these cheap OLED tvs? Also, its rare to find an OLED tv under 55".

Samsung's QLED TV's are a gimmick in the sense that they are not truly QLED's at all. They still use a backlight with a quantam dot filter. It does make for a better image though and the TV's look good. A true QLED TV will look amazing though.

Most in depth TV reviews I've found, a lot of folks base their purchase on this site.
TVs: Best

No complaints in picking up the 65" sony they recommended as best mid-range TV. The best TV I have ever owned.
