Hopes and dreams. I would have loved to have gotten a 96-98 turbo Supra 15-17 years ago.
I think they were going for high 20s around ‘2003-‘04.
You are correct. In Oct 2003, I narrowed my car choice down to a new STI which would have been the first one sold, or a 97 Jade Green 15th anniversary Supra with 15k miles for 28k. I chose the ****ing STI like a retard and regretted it every day afterwards.

My logic was I wanted a new car not driven by anyone. Seemed like a great idea at the time.

10k-Mile 1993 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo 6-Speed

10k mile stock car at $92k and climbing. Damn I should have bought one of these and an NSX while they were cheap.
Will the Terminator ever go that high another 10-20 years from now? There won't be too many good ones left I would think. I spoke with Lidio and he is seeing less and less Terminators at his shop. I still see Terminators however it is a rare sighting and my pulse goes up every time. I love those cars!

I haven't looked at this particular vehicle's Carfax, originality, etc., but if I had lottery money this would 100% be the first thing I buy/spend on; 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo. As someone born in 1992 and who grew up in the prime of the F&F franchise, it actually wasn't the movies that made me aware and desire these things, it's just how they look and sound.

The car above setup to look like the car below and with 600-700RWHP would be absolutely perfect.

Yea man. I kick my self in the nuts just thinking that I could have gotten one. Swap to a Single turbo and make 500hp plus. I was dumb, uninformed and stuck on one day building a 2V mustang.

Your going to be kicking your self if you sold that STI. Blob eyes are still stupid money and it will be a $40k car in another 15 years.

I trump all yall, as I bought a 2003 350Z over a 1978 930 in 2007.

At that time I had a $25k budget and looked at a ton of cars. RX8, S2k, 2003 Evo, 2005 WRX... I thought about the Terminator, but thought at $20k they were just to expensive doe a hopped up Mustang. FD3S was around 18k but to old and unreliable and even back then, a NA Supra was $20k still.

930 was original owner, 34k miles and $26k, just above my range, Z was a loaded touring for $19k... Ended up selling it for $8k to get my Tacoma like 4 years later,

Well, when there are C5 FRCs starting to go for sub $15K, its a good time to snatch one up and TT the thing....

2000 cammed corvette frc

If the carfax is ok, thats a HELL of a deal on a go-fast car. Im not a big GM fan, but even I'd buy that for that price.

Not to mention that a stock ZR-1 can pretty much lay waste to a Mk IV Supra be it moderately modded or stock for that price.

Most 1000 WHP Supras are trailer queens only in a lot of cases or 1/4th mile queens pick your poison.
That's like saying a van Gogh only covers 4sq feet of my wall, I can wallpaper 50 houses for thr price of one painting!!! Your paying $100k for the rarity and collectability, not the $ vs performance ratio.

A 930 can go for $150k and those are not even on the same scale as a modern 991, let alone a 991 Turbo.

Welcome to the world of classic/collectable cars.

There are/where only 11,290 MKIV Supras. Only 7,000 are Turbo. Only 326 are/where Hard Top, Turbo, 6spd.

Comparison, there are/where 343 Hemi Cuda 4spds. Those are $1-3 MILLION cars now.

R34 GT-Rs are legal for import here and I thought of buying one before they jump in price. The problem is I can't bring myself to spend so much on a car that has such a lousy interior and boring styling. I do know that I can make a lot of money on it once it is legal for import in the US.

They are already $70k+ cars.

I’d take a sorted out, nicely modded r32 or r33 GTR long before a Supra.

Supras are bad ass but that price is absurd. HARD pass ... even at $40-50k.

Many better options at that price.
