Per the definition of clickbait as given to me by one of the users accusing me of it: "something (such as a headline) designed to make readers want to click on a hyperlink especially when the link leads to content of dubious value or interest." You clicked on this thread and my video curious about what it's like to daily drive a high horsepower car. Let's be honest and cut to the chase; the 1,000HP value didn't exactly make or break your decision to click. You thought 'what is it like to daily drive a high horsepower car' and my video delivered on that (of course depending on your opinion/exposure of high horsepower cars). I was also very clear about the fact that I didn't know what it was like to DD a 1,000HP car. So if you continued past that point, that's on you. There was no reasonable expectation to be made that you would see a 1,000HP car in my video. The title here wasn't clickbait either as it was simply a question with no leading edge promising an answer. Exhibit A; nobody had a problem with this thread, from me, back on 12/21/15. It was worded almost the same and delivered even less content relevant to the topic.
I'm sorry if some of you still feel misled and that maybe 15 seconds of your life was wasted on my video, but probably an hour plus on my thread, and that we can't agree on what clickbait is and if this thread/video is such. Let's just agree to disagree and you can keep my name in the back of your head as a reminder not to click on my next thread. Simple, right?
