I’m getting ready to swap out the failed 5.0 for the lightly used 14 5.0 I bought.
I purchased the FRPP billet oil pump drive gears and a new clutch pkg anything else I should change while it’s on the stand? I‘m looking at an ‘18 intake and install kit and long tubes but what about internally...
You guys rock, thanks so much for the advice and the video link - I’m going with the 18 manifold, long tubes and an x pipe…..with a tune it should really wake up the motor and sound awesome to boot.

I would like to install a 2018 GT intake on my 14, can you tell me what other pieces I’d need?
Will my fuel rails/injectors fit? Do I need another throttle body?
I used the search engine but found nothing.
TIA

Ok so I’ll start the search for a decent Gen 1 and I’ll order and install a set of billet steel oil pump drive gears.
On the upside I’ll have the original engine out and I’ll have it rebuilt at my leisure. Seems a better way to go as I suspect there is probably some damage to the cam bearings...
Oil pump drive failed on my 14 Track Pack completely stock Coyote at 60K miles. It turned at least one rod bearing, maybe more.
Time to start looking for a replacement and I don’t have the scratch for a crate so I’ll be searching for a low mileage used engine.
My question is does anyone know if...
My completely stock 14 GT turned a rod bearing at just over 60K miles. So this spring I’m going to yank it and do rod and crank bearings, billet OPG’s and upgrade to ARP fasteners.
Can you recommend which bearings I should buy? Clevite or ? Also which billet oil pump gear do you like?
TIA

Hi Charles, I wouldn't say I abused it - I've hit the limiter a few times yes and I've definitely wound it up but never any long time max revs sorta thing.
I'm looking for a good price on a low mileage Gen3 and then it'll be a question of that cost vs a serious rebuild and yes if I go rebuild it...
I've read where it is recommended to switch to billet steel gears if you're upping the redline or doing a power adder but I believe we should make it a "best practice" on any Coyote.
Mine is a 14 Track Pack and the motor is absolutely bone stock and you got it - I lost the pump drive gears last...
Ok so as close to the same angle as the transmission then, thanks my Man - it's a respected race shop so I assume they have the equipment to measure properly - but I'll definitely ask.
Thanks again

Just a quick question: I'm having the ring and pinion replaced with all new bearings and seals as well. It's a 14 Track Pack car, sticking with the 3.73's in the Torsten diff. I've installed the Whiteline Suspension kit which lowered it about 1 3/4 inches, BMR adjustable motor mounts to drop the...
The OEM battery in my 14 track pack has packed it in so its time for a replacement. I used an Optima Red Top on my FactoryFive roadster and it works very well.
My question is: which do you prefer, Optima or AGM?
