As most of you all know my car is for sale. I have received many offers and am working details out with a prospective buyer. We are discussing if I will include the stock parts or not.

I need opinions about the value of what I have, stock springs, stock air inlet with MAF and air cleaner box, stock shifter, stock throttle body and plenum, stock pulleys and pulley cover. I would be interested in selling these seperately to get some extra cash. I also have a brand new in the box AFCO Pro Series Dual Pass heat exchanger that I bought from Lethal Performance. The AFCO HE has not been offered with the car and will be sold seperately.

I just don't know if there is much of a market for the stock parts. What do you guys think? Can anyone offer a realistic value for these?

Questions, comments and opinions are welcome. Thanks, Bob :)

Not sure on the value of these things but feel confident stating it is not much. They are of the most common things swapped and they are plentiful in the market. IMO if it helps you get the car sold then I would just give them up.

Thanks for your reply. The buyer is okay with the deal even if I don't include the stock parts, but he would like to have them. So it's not a deal breaker. I'm just not sure if it's worth it to keep them and try to sell them.

Any other opinions?

I'd give them away with the car. Not many folks are looking for stock stuff, unless they happened to buy a modded car, didn't get the stock stuff, and wanted to de-mod. I'd say the chances are good that you'll end up storing them for a while trying to sell them for not much money.

More hassle than it's worth as far as I'm concerned. I'd just hand them over with the car and avoid the clutter.

imo, let the stuff go with the car. you probably have about 150 bucks to 200 at most in stock parts.

You both are saying what I've been thinking. It's probably not worth the hassle of trying to sell the parts. Thanks for your comments. :coolman:

I'm beginning to feel a little lost now... I know I need to sell and I'm glad that I found a buyer, but I really don't want to see the car go... :( All the other Mustangs I've owned and sold didn't make me feel like this when selling.

I'd like to see some research on how many Cobra owners buy another one after selling, then regretting it. Looking here in MACA, I'll wager it's around 30%.
Sometimes you need to sell, but it's hard. These are special cars.
And I'd let the parts go.

Thanks Greg, I'm sure I will get another one. I'm just not sure how soon.

I'm with the other guys Bob; let the stock stuff go and you can always say I'll give you the stock stuff if you buy the h/e.

Im guess its about 200 worth of parts. Id tell the guy youll throw in the parts if he takes the car.

Any aftermarket parts, Id keep.

I'm on my second one already. I'm sure it won't be my last one either. And I would agree with you Greg. I'd say 30% is probably pretty close to the truth.

Stock parts go and the HE stays. I told the buyer that I would give him the stock parts and he was pleased. The AFCO Pro Series Dual Pass HE I'm keeping and will be posting it for sale.

The buyer is flying in Saturday and driving the car home...:(

Surprised he did not want to fork over the extra dough for the HE. I would.

Yeah I know, me too. I guess he spent enough for now he thought. Wait til that guy gets the infamous mod bug. I remember buying anything I could find the first few weeks after buying mine. And even bought billetflow pulley set before I took possesion lol!

Bob,
Is he on here or will he be (the boards)?

Yeah, the buyer is on this site though he doesn't post often... if all goes according to plan the car will be going to Connecticut and become a garage queen (she has earned the right to sit and be pampered). :coolman:
