I really hope that none of you have any issue with your order/product. But I have just experienced the worst and most non professional service in my life.

I ordered my set of coil covers on the 2nd. I wanted to use my paypal debit card because I had a balance on there. Well the card has my address as my home address and I put my work address because obviously im there much more and wanted to receive the covers personally.

The same day I got an email saying that my order was canceled because the addresses did not match. No big deal I thought ill just reorder and use my home address.

I was wondering when they would refund my payment so I asked "when are you going to refund my payment so I can send you another order with the correct address"?

Here is the response I got from the copied and pasted from my email:

Well since you asked I'll tell you. We do not have your money. Your credit card company has a "hold" on your money for 24-72 hours or however long they choose. We cannot refund what we do not have.

To get to the point had YOU been able to follow the most simple of directions and put your billing address where it was requested this would not be happening to you.

This advice will be free. If my credit card was declined for days in a row because of a $39 "hold" I probably would not be trying to buy some coil covers for my car. That being said I think we will cancel your pending order and not waste anymore time trying to get the $39 to go through.

Have a nice evening.

After that email you can understand my frustration. This person assumed that because it was taking more then a minute there were money issues when in all reality it was just paypal taking its sweet time.

I have since sent another email to them trying to right the situation and asking for an apology and also for a direct number to someone above the email author. I told them if the situation was not right by 1pm CST I would let you all know about the horrific and insulting customer service I received.

They don't care. I've never had issues with them, but they aren't the nicest folks in the world.

I understand where both you and they are coming from.

Granted, they could have been a little nicer with the response, and it's not the way to respond to someone trying to give you business, but at the same time you blame them, and they blame you. This does not leave any good feelings on either end and results in flared tempers by both parties.

I do have to stress that it's frustrating when a customer provides the incorrect billing address and then gets mad why the funds are on "hold" by the card company while assuming that it's the vendor that has their money. This hold does drop off after an average of 3-4 business days, and the sad thing is customers who are not internet purchase savvy tend to not know this and toss the blame on the vendor when the error to begin with was the customer's.

I think their site mentions the billing address requirement and I if I recall correctly, they do emphasize on it pretty strongly during the checkout process.

Their response sucks, but if you look around, you'll find multiple threads on the response attitude since it's never changed over the years. I do have to admit though, that their processing and shipping is VERY fast and I have not come across too many vendors that manage do to the same.

Based on that, both parties are neutral in my book.

Not sure when the website was updated, but the price has gone up to $49.00 for the set. I would imagine it has a lot to do with the quantity of orders placed in the past two weeks, lol. Even still, a great price.

I have since sent another email to them trying to right the situation and asking for an apology and also for a direct number to someone above the email author. Don't know if this price includes shipping, but came across it while looking at k-members. Another option for you bsmith.

I never got mad about anything and accepted responsibility for the initial mistake. All I wanted to know was if I resend my money with the correct addy if that would be okay.

Well where I come from it is very unprofessional and childish to even think about talking to a paying customer like that.

lol, that reply was awesome... Can't expect too much from an auto parts retailer, especially with a $39 dollar price tag.. What's their margin on that? I could tell you one thing though, your calls and emails are certainly digging into their profitability. If it was my company I’d tell you to buy from someone else as well and just cut my losses.. I’m a man of principle but I’d waste my time more wisely and wouldn’t spend the time over the 40 bucks..

I wasn't asking for anything for free.

Just the product I paid for and I was treated with ignorance and disrespect that was completely unwarranted.

I agree that the email was brash, but you have to remember that they have probably dealt with situations like that countless, countless times. I'm sure it gets old, business or not. They don't care about being nice, especially when they don't have any face to face contact with the customer, and especially when it's over a measly $39 bucks.

Their prices pretty much speak for themselves (at least in this case), and technically you are at fault.

I don't care how many times they have heard if before or whether the part is $6 or $6,000. You DO NOT talk to a paying customer like that. Period. No excuses.

OK, here we go again. At least there are some people on this forum that get it.When you place an order on our website there is a "Billing" and a "Shipping" field. It is made very clear that the Billing field address MUST match the credit card that is being used. The ship to can be anywhere you wish.
This customer totally didn't care about our policy. When we emailed him and told that his address did not match he simply replied "That's my work address"
I couldn't care less what the address was where he sells Kia's on the Internet. There is only one address that matters. That is the one where the credit card company sends the bill each month.
When the credit card company put a hold on the $39 that left him with LESS than $39 available credit. For 2 days we attempted to charge his card for his new order with a home address. Each time it declined. He sent several emails asking for the $39 to be refunded. This is the email he sent this afternoon.

This is an exact copy.

Now no comments from the peanut gallery?

If I have not received confirmation that you will:

a) Apologize for your inappropriate actions and sarcastic e-mail ramblings because you perhaps had a crappy new year.

b) Will accept payment of the original $39 with free shipping and ship them to my home address.

By 1pm CST, I will post about the atrocious customer service I have recieved from you and the actual email correspondance we have had on the forum that lead me to your product. There is about 100,000 people that are active members of the site that often time spend money and purchase items from recommendations of the group.

As you see im not wanting anything for free, nor trying to tarnish your name. But just simply wanting a product I paid for with a provider that didnt give you your money fast enough and you made false conclusions about my situation about.

PS, feel free to call me if you feel e-mail correspondence is too slow a communication medium. My info is below.

We will not be blackmailed or intimidated. We sold 23 sets of coil covers today alone. For those of you who understand, thank you for being responsible members of the human race. For those of you that think that we should kiss his ass and that nobody should take personal responsibility for their actions, good luck to you. Like the one post says, you may not like our attitude but it has been consistant for over 20 years. Believe it or not before the Internet when a customer called and we sent their order out promptly at the best price they actually appreciated it. There are 20 people on this post that are ecstatic about their purchase transaction and ONE who is not. Believe it or not all 20 of the orders were not filled out correctly. After one email they were able to supply the correct information. Fortunately for them they had more than $39 available credit.

Let the party begin.

I wonder why...?

I should still need to get around to ordering a pair before they decided to send it up another 10 bones or more.

probably because theres such a demand for them at that price.... you have to figure how are they making money on 39 a set SHIPPED? i showed them to a friend that owns a local business that makes mustang parts and he couldn't touch that price if he was going to make them. and that's all they do all day is cnc parts for mustangs.......

even at 49, the price is great. supply and demand is the game, thats what all things revolve around.

PS: it's sad to see that "buyfordracing" has been a member on here since 07, and his first post has to be a reply to someone who can't clearly understand ordering directions, and gets mad cause all he has enough money on his cc for one order and has obviously no clue how things function in life.

 buyfordracing, thanks again.

Just for the record we have honored the old $39 price to everyone from this site that has asked for it. Better slow down here. Our post total is starting to add up.

I will not buy them. Becuase no company that I am giving money is going to tell me to apologize just becuase I was trying to get them shipped to my work address.

For the life of me I do not understand why you would be proud that you have had a bad attitude torwards customers for 20 years.
