Being a contractor I can tell you this. If a client calls me and says the $400,000 theater room isn't working, I sure as s**t will not tell them that 'oh the sub-contractor down the road that put it in did that work, sorry'. I would be on their doorstep within the hour to see if I can figure it out myself. I don't care if it's christmas eve. A business owner that doesn't have this dedication is NOT a business owner, but an opportunist.

Lets just break down the simple numbers!

-This thread has been up for less than 24 hours, in a specific section catering to locals mostly.

-It has had over 2000 views!

- for the sake of making a point, IF every 20th person had an intent to spend some money there, at some point, and is now swayed, that is 100 customers lost, VERY likely scenario.
Theory, but a very safe assumption being how fast this type of information spreads on the internet!

This just makes Evolution performance look unprofessional and they will not be getting any recommendations or business from me!

Sounds like they put all their efforts into building their 'Race' Cars in order to get their name out there, without giving a shit about the Customers who were bank rolling the projects.

Post like these are really souring people on your company. You are an official representative of Evo, yet your posts come off as childish and immature. I would expect anyone that sees posts such as this would translate them into the kind of experience they would receive in the real world if something goes wrong with their purchase.

Yep. Customer service is everything when owning a business. Especially in this hobby. Its a fairly small community and word travels fast on who is good and who sucks.

Also, if he walked into Evolution and wanted them to preform the work, and they sublet it to Mighty Muffler then the blame still falls on Evolution. END OF STORY. Its not his problem that Evolution sublet the work to bad company. They need to make this right if he went there for there service.

That sounds so weasel like... He came to Evo for work,even if the work was done by Mighty its because Evo sent the car there or he took it there on Evo's reccomendation. People bring their cars to Evo.....not Mighty Muffler. I see Evo in the mags and on car stickers. Never heard of MM until now.

So Nelson sends work next door to the shop that does crappy work, just because it's 'owned' by his son? Why did Nelson tell JR to give Mike 20% off the bill? Because he knew it was a hack job? Why not tell him to make it right or have the guys at Evo fix it, who are obviously able to make a custom exhaust (because they did on the TT GT500 posted up recently).

From what I can tell, Mike should be bitching even more about having his car used as a mock up for the 4" downpipes for weeks over what he was told. I think I would have fought to pay 0% of the bill after that little mishap. Plus a busted oil pan and leaking coolant? Bald tires? Sounds like Mighty Muffler owed Mike a helluva lot more than a small discount.
