About 5 years ago I was in really good shape and I did 100 in a row. Granted, half-way through, my form went to hell.

After I was done I couldn't hear for about 20 seconds. It was scary as hell.

Thats the key though is doing the full 100 is perfect form the whole time!!

I used to push myself to that point while running. I've never been a good runner but for a period I was able to figure out how to get a runner's high and just "phase out" and I feel like I can keep running until my heart stops. But then I'll be on a my last lap and a POC will tell me to sprint to the finish line, and the high is ruined and I'm suddenly aware that my entire body hurts. I'll usually collapse sometime later. :-D

100 push-ups in under 2 minutes will get you a perfect score of 300 for Green Beret/Ranger training.

Did them no problem.

100 pts in the Pushups category,
You still have to max your run and situps though. You went through SFAS?

Its been a little bit since I got out but thats an Army wide standard. 100 = 300 on the regular scale and anything above is the extended scale.

Could be wrong though, but its what I remember.

How many sit ups can you fat bastards do though? In my Army prime I did around 100 or so on my APFT. Just one time though lol.

I can blow out 70 no problem...100 might be a stretch. I did 40 full dips the other day....I also cranked out 20 with a 50 lb. plate. Over the last few yrs. I get shoulder pain (right one) when I bench so I have to find ways to get a good chest workout in.

I doubt I could do 15 these days. It sucks when your 6'3 and have super long arms, it's a long ass way to go down.

Although I bet someone like me could benefit greatly from strengthening my core, since I am so tall/thin. I ought to try this...

I do push-ups on a weekly basis but no way in hell could I do 100 in a row. But good job if you can. I say if you can do 100 regular try it with your feet on a chair. That should make things more interesting.

How about pull-ups? I try to do 3 sets of 10 on widebar when I work out which is tough but regular I'm confident I could do over 20 consecutively. My recruiter was talking about a kid that was in DEP before me that held the record at 192! They said he was a professional rock climber and would stop and hang with one hand for a few minutes and then bust a few more out which I think is kind of lame. The previous record was 90 something though which is really impressive.

I just busted out 80 then 10 seconds later did 20 more. So it probably wouldn't be too hard to get 100. It's just ignoring the burn at this point.

I could do 65-70 consecutive earlier this year..I havent tried it recently
I used to do 100 consecutive when i was younger not nomore lol..the thing about pushups is that you got to do them frequently or you wont be able to do that many a week later..but thats my experience..

Now ...... the easiest way to knock out 100 is to let momentum carry you back up. You just do them really fast and its a lot easier. Do them slowly and you will die lol.

I'll give it a shot when I walk to the kitchen to grab a couple of twinkies. I am also sore which might compromise my actual number.

I did 25 before saying "F this." I am pretty sure I can go a bit over 50. On thursday I worked out legs and chest. On Friday I worked out tricepts and biceps. I am surprised I was able to do 25. I am extremely sore.

100 without stopping? I bet few if any of you can do that. Now 100 pushups I can do in under two minutes right now but not without stopping.
