The answer is TISAS
Tisas is also great for letting someone at work practice cerakoting. Cheesy fake pearl grips not pictured.... YetLooks like A LOT of gun for the money.
I can get a Masterpiece for less than a Staccato.
Masterpiece
- All forged, no MIM
- No plastic
- Handfit barrel and slide
Staccato
- MIM
- Plastic grip model, plastic trigger guard, plastic trigger
- Not handfit
Looks like A LOT of gun for the money.
Where are you finding a ds9 that’s less than a P? Or are you talking XC?

I only bought it because it was 29x.xx before tax and shipping. It was supposed to be an alternative to carry. However it's too heavy so now just a range toy. While I don't regret it, I don't see myself buying another 1911 (or my first 2011) without it being cut for a red dot.I've been considering a cheap 1911. Was looking at RIA but may need to take a look at Tisas as well
That makes me sad. Reasons? I'm not a fan on a carry..but for a range gun it is sooo much fun. Reaction time is better because you take out sight alignment. Once you zero the red dot in on target for YOU it's really caveman shooting. Takes something out of the equation so you can focus on other aspects like trigger pull, breathing etc etc. Wish you could shoot my CZ Shadow2 with one, I bet I'd make a believer out of you.I'm not a huge red dot fan for handguns so that doesn't bother me.
Nice vid. $4400 for something with plastic parts is a tough pill to swallow. At that price point I would cough up the extra 2k to get into an Atlas or Sandhawk.
I only get to the range once a month at the moment.Handgun with red dot is the superior tool, but ONLY if you put in the work to get squared away on it.
I would not recommend a red dot for an average gun owner.
