EV's so desirable. Same 3 not_a_mustang(s) that where here 2 months ago... (at dealer, getting minor build quality stuff done, to new f250)

Same thing at the dealer I was at last night purchasing my new car. There were at least 15 Mach Es on the lot and in the showroom.

lol Googled EV average weight vs gas powered vehicle average weight.

Came up with EVs typically 30% heavier.

Now Google effects of weight on road surface damage and wear.

Found a few different calculations but the extra 30% isn’t 30% more road wear.

Try like 1200% more.

Now Google effects of weight on road surface damage and wear.

Found a few different calculations but the extra 30% isn’t 30% more road wear.

Try like 1200% more.

My brother (an engineer who nerds out frequently) has mentioned how German roads last longer than they do here because of the thickness, so I asked him about it and he found this...wow if true

I read an analysis of parking garage infrastructure. These aren't rated for EV weights = collapse.
