I cant believe the size difference between the two shelby heat exchanger models. Your gonna love that shelby competition exchanger w/that KB biggun intercooler you have installed. (Did you modify the intake manifold for the intercooler?) You should see some descent IAT2 temps there in those AZ temps after a run. As always she is a top notch shelby here on SVTP always flexing that ford muscle....Beautiful and congrats on the cooling upgrade.

I was definitely suprised at the size difference, my IAT2 temps were always decent with the standard heat exchanger, but they should be perfect now lol. And yes the lower intake manifold was modified with the bigun intercooler. And thank you as always for the kind words. I just need to find another super snake front splitter and the front end will look perfect again.

What is the difference between the SHELBY Heat Exchanger and the triple pass one from VMP?
You cant go wrong with either IMO. There both quality heat exchangers. DOB is the only other heat exchanger on the market that offers better cooling hands down but requires some modifications to install. Each serves a different cooling option to different setup requirements.

Funny, this same topic was being discussed via texting yesterday.
I hadn't seen this thread.

To your question, @SCGallo2 brought into the conversation, how and where the I/C pump has to be relocated and or mounted, between different H/E's.

I am thinking of getting the SAI Competition H/E since its on sale.
Is it a straight bolt on? IDK yet (shrug)

But like DOB has said, to get full benefit of cooling you have to increase the diameter of inlets and outlets to really maximize the benefits? I'm not sure you need to, but ya. Anyone wanna chime in on that?

The Shelby Competition heat exchanger is still one of the best units available, but the DOB titanic is the best if you have the right setup

I've been checking constantly on them. They're always sold out  I don't understand why Shelby doesn't stock them, they would sell a ton
I know Anderson Composites makes those for SAI. Anderson don't have them on their web site no more either so I'm not sure what's going on. As soon as shelby got them they were gone in 2-3 days.
