Luckily work pays for my phone, though I always have a hard case on it and I haven’t broken one yet.

Galaxy S11 here. Cracked screen and all. Still works just fine.
BUT...
I send maybe 5-10 texts a week.
I use the Calculator and the Camera. An occasional phone call.
No apps. Not used on the internet, at all. I use a laptop for that.
It is never used while driving, not paired to the car or anything else.
Most times I forget I even have the damn thing.
I grew up without the internet and without cell phones. They are a novelty item to me.
I use mine for my convenience, not anyone else's.
Go ahead, call me old. It happens every day. Lol.

It's part of work for me. I bet I send/receive 300 texts a day.
I just wish Samsung would ditch the curved glass the top phones. one hit there and they are done. the s23u is awesome, it can do stelar photography as well, Pictures of the moon are crazy, took them without a stand.
I have The samsung s view case basically vulcanized rubber with a little window on the flip cover that shows a small window of the screen. I've dropped lots of things bought this case as it receses the cameras and screen.

It's not the worst depending on what needs to come of it. I prefer calls though
I've always said "I can talk faster than type."
I hate it. Thirty emails/texts or a simple three minute phone call and I can move on to the next problem.

To be honest if you're simplistic with your phone there isn't much difference between a 7/11 and a 14. Back in the day the change in size, weight, memory was more significant.
As much as people hate on Apple. It’s easy to use. And **** green texts
I was just telling someone the other day... the only difference between high end phones and low end phones are the camera quality and battery. Processor would be an issue if you're running a lot of apps at once, etc...but just using it as a phone, even the most low end processor is fine.
