They look so much better than modern. I am not too into bikes but the late 90s early 00s were the peak aesthetically IMO. Still get rock hard when I see a vintage GSXR or YZF
I agree to that. I wanted a 2008 GSX-R 600 so bad in the white and blue theme. Blue wheels and all when I was 16. I thought I would have been the cats pajamas.

R1 all day. If not the R1M, find a low mile 2016 special edition in the vintage Yamaha black and yellow race colors. This one is cool enough to almost make me ride a fully faired sport bike...

I dont, bro. i just used to ride the **** out of my Hondas.
The Yellow and black Yamahas were the colors American Yamaha racing teams used. The same marketing guy who got Kawasaki to go with the green on all their bikes came up with the concept of yellow with black "speed blocks" for Yamaha.
A Californian racer, Kenny Roberts, went to Europe to race in the world championship. Using the skills developed racing flat track in the USA, he was able to open the throttle mid corner and slide the rear tire to steer the bike and accelerate faster than all the European guys. He won the world championship as a rookie on a Yamaha painted in the American Yamaha team colors.
So it is most certainly not a mexican yellow. (That's the yellow with black flames one lol)

The only cool Honda ever was the RC51. It was basically Honda beating Ducati at their own game. Nicky Hayden won the AMA super bike championship and Colin Edwards won World Super Bike Championship on the RC51. When you look back at the popular Hondas over the years, you quickly realize they were just okay imitations of what was happening in the world of motorcycling. Honda's success is in volume. That's why 99% of Hondas are boring as hell. They aim for being average and they succeed.

Okay, I know my disgust with Honda is about as rational as thinking people who drink Pepsi are communists (they are) or believing people who like those "Star Track" movies with the "Dark Vader" guy are faggs (they are), but I will not change. I've spent years developing my disgust and I can't abandon it now.

I don't think there are many motorcycles that I'd be too scared to ride. MotoGP bikes have to be pushed hard enough to maintain heat in the tires so they have any grip. I know i don't have the skill to push them hard enough to work. You'll see the pros getting caught out by cold tires if they back off for a just a little in practice sessions.
Then there is top fuel drag bikes. These things scare me and I've only ever seen them on youtube...

those are cool stories. my 954rr was everything I needed it to be and more.

Honda appeal is based on their build quality and reliability. This might be boring to some, but I beat on my shit and honda took everything i gave.

*** Honda’s reliability may have changed, as of late. Im not sure. ***

Man, you need to amend the topic. Ducati leads the way now it seems with new products, performance, and racing.

My 2011 848Evo was one of the best bikes for the street imo And fairly priced by today's standards. It slotted in perfectly between the 600s and liter bikes where you were sure to be faster than the 600s and could hang on for surprisingly long with the liter bikes before they left you in the dust. It was really easy to use all its power without getting into trouble on the street and the sound was wicked after removing the baffles that they added that year.

Huh? Not sure what you mean? They've always been known for poor reliability but that has changed over the past decade and a half. Have you ever ridden a Ducati?

what that means is that I like their asthetics, but dont trust their reliability. Tend to be higher maintenance than the poors’ bikes

I have not…. Strictly big 4

Modern Ducatis have maintenance intervals that are on par with the Japanese bikes. You'll probably have to dish out more to get a desmodromic valve adjustment, but it's not like to old days of doing it every 3,000 miles. Lol
