not at my post...
We were told at work to expect a huge slowdown as parts become more unavailable. " Expect to see the parking lot full of cars that need work but can't be done due to part shortages".
It is already bad, everything on backorder ect. I needed a starter for a 18' Chevy van with the 4.3. Not only was there no starter available in the whole State from GM Dealers, only O'Reily's Auto parts had one...for $349. Reman. $449 new. Napa, nothing, AutoZone nothing, CarQuest nothing. This for a engine that has probably 1 million in circulation. It is only going to get worse.
****ing hell! I wouldn’t want to be the service writer telling customers the bad news… not for the all the whiskey in Ireland. You can literally see the shit rolling down hill on this one.

Let me know if you see any of that in SC.

Well biden said they have to share thier record profits with employees

Id be willing the bet the profit "dollar amount" may be a record but i highly doubt the actual margin is a record

Unlike the record tax revenue the gov has gotten...
Biden is a moron.

Their record profits are based on their GLOBAL operations, not just their US operations. The factory workers in Canada and Mexico also contribute to those profits greatly and they do not get any profit sharing checks.

The last part of that gets me.

I'm no expert, but the way I see it is similar to the Apple vs. Android or Apple vs. Wintel. Big companies should not become their competitors, but must carve their own way.

Is it really worth it for Ford to chase Tesla into a natural 10 to 15% market share area? Should they focus on what their customers expect while continually trying to delight them and stay relevant or ahead (and reliable) in the remaining 85% of the market? If I were in charge, I'd have a skunkworks division off on its own researching, developing, and releasing limited run BEV's to be sure the company knows this tech and how to make it work, waiting for a future yet to arrive. Meanwhile I'd focus the real business on ICE and synthfuel as the future.

The big three have enough trouble staying relevant, profitable, and reliable with product they've been making for 100 years.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that every penny of loss attributed to EVs is not only a write off, but paid back by GOV.

That being the case, only a moron wouldn’t cook the books to show huge losses on EVs.

Wake up bruh.

EV will become 100% of the market once the politicians this guy is blowing makes it a government mandate and then give Ford more tax payer money.

That's the goal here. It's never been about developing EVs to be competitive or less environmentally impactfull.

It's about helping push a government agenda that forces us into the 15 minute modern city of the future, renting everything (including all the features on the car and probably the clothes on our backs) and owning knowing. It's also about destroying "old world" money based around fossil fuels.

Also, they are all aware of the billions of products made from petroleum. They don't care if your insulin products become $1500 a month... just more reason for expanding government control over the market and our lives.

EVs are the guilded cage they are building around us while dipshits are applauding the hype.

This is pretty funny to see pop up in light of recent events

This is the kind of stuff I'd expect from Tesla (and has happened w/ them in the past)

This could potentially be a unicorn later on like 40 years and bring good money at auction. I remember a 2002 Red Lighning that actually had regular F-150 headlights and not the crystiline clear with SVT bulb reflectors. Always wondered what happen to it as it was at the Cleveland 2002 auto show and so was part of the Ford fleet at the time.

Remember a few people with Marauders that were built right during the Job 1 -> Job 2 change over ended up with chrome CVLX sport shifter bezels? I think MartyO's car was one of those cars.

I have yet to see one of those hit BaT and pull a premium though.
