If "around and found out" were a handful of rednecks out to "hit a lick"

If I recall... when these guys first went missing their family members stated they had gone out on a bike trip and hadn't checked in with family in X amount of days. I looked at the pictures of the men and thought to myself... those don't look like your typical bicyclists. :ROFLMAO:

U.M.

Haha yup my thought too.

They probably tried to hit someone that was connected and got rolled instead.

The bicycle part is cute. Very stealthy lol.

I think I read somewhere that they were planning to commit a crime. Police said they talked to a guy who was asked to be in on it, but he declined.

When I first saw this story over the weekend my first thought was, “Those dudes don’t look like ‘bike riding guys’ to me” but I let it slide because that didn’t seem like the appropriate response.

Now after more details have been released, I guess my gut was right the first time.

And yea, the article I read today stated something along the lines of, “They were going in for a lick that was big enough for all of us.”

Apparently the guy that declined the offer gets “best decision of the week” award.

For the guy to flee rather than try and claim self defense in some way, which would have had to have included not chopping these guys up, but to do that and then flee leads me to believe that there was some other operation going on and he knew that any police poking around the yard during the investigation would lead to more trouble. The average person just trying to protect themselves and their property aren't going to chop up 4 people and dump them in a river. Curious to see what else comes of this. I'm wondering if the cartel is tied to this given the manner of the disposal of the bodies.

They didn't look too bright from their photographs but if they knowingly went to rip off one of the cartels then Jesus Christ they are even dumber than they looked.
