Seeing these posts about refinement, smoother drives, new tech, etc shows who's really old now. I know because im getting there too lol

Younger us would give two craps if interior had soft plastics, quieter exhaust, softer bumps, etc. We would take a 1 seater Mustang running on headers, ET tires on a canyon, no AC with as minimal electronics as we can haha
Read my mind lol

Not me. Even in my late 20s I wanted quiet and comfort.

First off, I agree 100% with the above
I am 67, and love the that that the New Edge cars are a little rough around the edges, not the most comfortable cars out there, have stiffer suspensions and don't have all the creature comforts and nannies that the new cars do. In my opinion only, this is what a mustang should be about. decent performance in a straight line, fun in the twisties and still be able to hit cars and coffee if you want. The new versions have the feel of what the Cougar was originally meant to fill, some performance with the added creature comforts and a softer ride.
if I want to travel I have better options for comfort than any Mustang sitting in my driveway,

Pretty sure "SN95" and words like "comfort, quality, refinement...et al" were never used in the same sentence back at Ford engineering HQ. lol

And that's what makes them appealing today for some; they're analog, all business. Yeah, pretty easily out-performed in all aspects by an S550, but you could essentially say the same about comparing a stock '93 Cobra to a stock Terminator. It's all relative. Doesn't mean the '93 sucks; it did well for it's time and is still a highly desirable car for a reason. And isn't the point to continually make improvements over the previous chassis/generation?

Edit: And to be honest, when I think of comfortable performance, Mustang doesn't even enter my mind. I go towards CTS-V and SRT Charger.

As an owner of a new edge, I prefer the size, feel, looks, sound over the s550. BUT it is not my only vehicle and is nothing more than a toy. If we're talking road trips, I can't imagine anyone saying they would prefer to do it in a sn95 vs a s550.

Pretty much any generation mustang v8 prior to the Coyote sounds better than the current 5.0 lol.

And to think, some idiots remove the mufflers on coyote cars. Hell to the no.

Reading predator rods, upgraded cams, dual 80mm t-body intake 500hp...

I'm impressed.

I wasn't crazy about the look of the s550 when it came out but it has grown on me. I'll have to wait and see if this grows on me, my first impression I don't really like it.
