I’m sorry boys, I didn’t mean to create havoc. Yes, I should have specified that was my old 14 GT. That was a few years ago she got into that accident. I’m in the Bahamas for my cruise so I couldn’t message back until I got wifi in a bungalow. Sorry for the confusion gentleman. Be safe out there and dont let your brother drive your cars and sleep. :)

Glad I’m not the only one who runs theirs!
You're in good company... I've logged about 35 race passes at the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack and Colorado Mile, both of which seem to have been discontinued.

Staged for a pass at the CO Mile in 2015, where the DA was over 8K ft.
Staged for Another Pass New.jpg

Here's GoPro of a 170MPH pass at that event.

The view from the start line, as filmed by a friend's cell phone.

The view from outside, captured at about 170MPH. (The orange blur was a single traffic cone.)

Here's a run against a friend's GT500, that shows the launch advantage of R888Rs over MPSS, at PPAA in 2017. (His launches were on-point, but the improved traction fried his clutch.)

Thats badass! got me a new wall paper :) What do you have done and what it run?
Just a 2.4 upper, JLT CAI, and VMP Tune - 11.6 @ 127 is the best I have done with it. I find the car is hard to launch with 20" tires - If I come out at 3700 it bogs if I come out at 4000 it usually hooks for a split second and then the tires don't hold, needless to say its a challenge but its a fun car at the track because I can usually make up ground in the backhalf as the car pulls pretty good up top for a very mild setup - here is a timeslip from a while back

Nice... that's the exact same set up I have on mine plus Kooks LT, working out some tuning bugs, cant wait to take her down the track.

My fingers are crossed, but I'm not holding my breath...

They stopped running the CO Mile before COVID (circa 2017 maybe). It's a business, so I believe the decision was a monetary one. (Not faulting them. Just stating what I believe to be fact.)

PPAA ran up until COVID, but did not return when other "Airstrip Attack" events did. When I traded notes with Shift Sector (the company that runs the events) earlier this year, they reported that Colo Spgs insists on some new/additional (and expensive) insurance coverage that other locations don't require, making PPAA a financially losing proposition. At the time, they were looking at relocating to the Front Range Airport in Watkins (which is where the CO Mile was held), but I've seen/heard nothing further about that possibility.

I missed both of those car shows I was out of town :( Was there a large participation at the 26th Shelby car show.

Really like your car
Morning temps of mid 60's are starting here in Ga. Might have to get the cob webs off the front bumper

Sent from my SM-G975U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
Thanks for your kind words, which mean even more coming from someone with a beautiful car like yours! Which is to say, the feeling is mutual and you should NOT sell yours! ;)
