OP, I take it you been hiding under a rock for the past 2 years or so?
No, I've bought one every year for the last three years so I've seen it first hand

But prices are cooling off in general, it's just ridiculous what some people are trying to sell right now and they're about two months late anyway

Gotcha! Yeah, prices have been cooling off but people are still trying to get the most they can.

Some dealers are doing the same thing, have seen cars selling 3-5k with more mileage and less features vs others. As long as buyers aren't dumb enough to give in, they'll be for sale for a while.

Thought about selling my mustangs recently, as I found something that I really wanted. Now would be a good time as the cars could sell for more than I paid for them, but who knows what will happen.

I've been trying to find a Mach 1. Granted, I'm picky (FJG, white or silver only, must be manual, elite interior or leather Recaros...also would like to have the upgraded wheels and red calipers if its a white or silver car) but I'm not paying $3k or more over MSRP for a USED car! LOL

When I contact a dealer I tell them what I am willing to pay OTD. They immediately get turned off because they can't **** me. I give them the price I am willing to pay, plus TTL. Conversations are short. LOL I told one dealer in AZ that every day I don't have the car it doesn't cost me anything, but everyday that he has it (and has had it for 2+ months) it is costing him, so let's deal. Nope! I told another that the fact that his dumbass overpaid for it isn't my problem, it is his. I like rubbing it in. GTFO with your $60k+ used Mach 1.

Long watch... TLDR.. the repos have begun, banks DO NOT want to write down losses, they have auction minimum bids too high and keep pushing for "no sale" until they find a buyer.

This won't affect new cars... New cars even at higher prices will crush used cars.

Cars are being repo'd with temp tags from 2020 now.....etc.

As others have said, it's all cars. I've put 110k miles on the V since I've owned it and I can sell it for what I paid for it right now.

I'm probably one of those people that "paid" to much for some of our cars in the last 1-2 years. Especially the 90 7 up edition vert given it's condition.

But we plan on keeping them, and I have them insured for more than what we paid.

At leas you know what you're getting into. I see a lot of new guys showing up "hey I just bought this mustang off Carvana" and they paid damn near MSRP for a 3-4 year old car.

Guys that want to mod their cars other than stanced faggotry and wraps will start buying up cars that can still be properly tuned and modded. Prices are gonna keep going up. Thank your politicians.
