Hard to see how encouraging companies to move supply chains from China is the long game, and they are moving. Security of supply is outweighing cheapest supplier, which isn't cheap, if they can't supply.
This is true.
Let's hope it happens ASAP.

LOL. It'll never happen unless you dump at least 50% of the legislators who are in office right now.Hard to see how encouraging companies to move supply chains from China is the long game, and they are moving. I’m getting my arse kicked trying to source stainless steel that we use tons of. Crazy to be in this situation.

Trump got it started, but chyna and the rest of the globalists put the kabash on that.
Have you ever personally worked directly with a chynese company?
Money is money, substantial reporting on businesses leaving China. For whatever reason, quality and timeliness from China have been so awful for over 2 years that companies are leaving to save themselves.
Leaving chyna to go where? United States? Lol. Not with the current regimes in charge.
Look on Amazon to see all the copycat products.
Prints and processes to manufacture 25% of those products the chynese duplicated from American tooling prints/processes sent to chyna years ago to "save a buck". Started a long time ago with the hollow American factories.
Oh, don't get me wrong. ****, as a manufacturing engineer, I want made in USA more than anyone, but life ain't hugs and puppies anymore.
BTW, I've been on both ends of dealing (selling/buying) with chynese. The slowest, most demanding, lying people I've ever dealt with. **** chyna.
