Nice "family". I notice you have a few revolvers. I'm heavily leaning towards a S&W Model 19 (Performance Center). 357Magnum. I've never fired a revolver. How do you like shooting any one of yours, compared to a 9mm pistol?

Here's the one I'm wanting. This is the 2 1/2" barrel version. I prefer it, but am considering the 3", as well.

I'm not familiar with the S&W Model 19 but as far as .357 Revolvers go, I'm a big fan of the Ruger SP-101.

Just wrapped up this build.

CZ P07 Suppressor Ready model in 9mm. Cajun Gun Works Pro Grade Upgrade Kit with Omega Trigger, Streamlight TRL-1HL, Holosun HS507C X2, Talon Rubber Grips, the slide was cut and cerakoted by my gunsmith.

Truly the flattest and smoothest shooting pistol I’ve shot. The ability to place super accurate and fast follow-up shots is uncanny.

Nice! So far this H&K VP9 is my fav weapon for target shooting. I would love to try out a CZ though!

I haven’t shot mine yet, I hope that’ll change in the near future. I’ve shot a friends single action .22 but I doubt that’ll be relevant. I would say that my two bigger caliber revolvers will have a real kick compared to the compared to a 9. They’re .480 and .41 mag. The other 3 are .38 so they shouldn’t be too bad. I haven’t shot much, due to time and lack of a really good range that’s near by.

Nice looking revolver. How is the recoil with that short 2.25" barrel?

If someone gets their hands on a Springfield SA-35, post it up on here! That’s my next purchase when the prices become more realistic.

Not too bad with .357 due to the grip design. (Depending on the brand and load) Shoot .38's all day long, like butta. (Yes, I'm a New Yorka) I purchased mine about 20 years ago when they first came out. Great Gun.

Would you expect an insignificant different in recoil (same brand and load round) between the 3" and 2 1/2" Smith & Wesson Model 19? Both barrels are vented by Performance Center to help control recoil. I doubt I'll get to try either at my range, so input from gun owners might help me make my decision. The 2 1/2" model hides better but it has a shorter extractor which can be a negative. I'll likely vary between 357mag and 38Special ammo depending on what's available and pricing. Right now, 357magnum is impossible to find.

Looks like you have a flared mag well and have your slide cut. Is that all that’s done to it, or are there internal upgrades?

I’ve shot a few stock VP9’s and they do shoot well. There’s just something about hammer fired pistols I’ve grown fond of as I get older.

Just bought this one on Gunbroker! S&W Model-19 .357Mag 3" barrel. Performance Center version. I should have it next week. Can't wait. Unfortunately, there's no .357Mag ammo available, and even .38 Special is hard to find.

Go to ammoseek, there is plenty of .357 mag available. Granted it may not be the price you want to pay, but it is there.

Every time I hear someone say they can't find ammo what they really mean is I can't find ammo for a price I'm willing to pay. There's always ammo
