^^ I did a brake job on my mother-in-law's car years ago and took out a rotor that looked like this.

^ That's borderline impressive. I used to work on my buddy's dad's car. He complained about the brakes once so I took a peek. Pad material was long gone, just the backing and shim left. Let's just say he was well on his way to wearing through the face of the rotor.

The only way you could do that is by putting new pads on the old rotors until they wore that much The pads and the caliper piston will wear down first before the rotor will so someone was really trying to extend the life of those rotors lol.
