Wrapped up my Brembo swap. Turned out great for the price and it makes a significant difference in stopping power.

Very cool. What took 1st and 2nd?
I'm honestly not sure. The show got rained out and the awards were announced over Instagram. I didn't even know I won anything until someone tagged me. There was a nice turboed 96 Cobra that I hope took something. Otherwise it was probably one of the clubs playing favorites.

Started disassembling the car - I'm getting a rattle sound on cold start up that has me thinking primary chain tensioner...

What's the general consensus for replacement? The solid metal ones with a ratchet that were found in the earlier mod motors? Or can I just stick with the newer plastic style? Car has 130k.

Me personally I’d just replace with Ford OEM. I know people that went aftermarket on the 5.4 stuff and it bite them and shortly down the road had to do it again. Check out Autonation of White Bear Lake good prices fast shipping.

Gotta love Competition Orange. Nice mods! Awesome looking car. The chrome factory wheels really look good.

Thanks Bob. Agreed a co-worker an I had a debate on that he said he thinks black wheels would look better. I told him I disagree to each there own. I think chrome pops better with CO. I probably have a week before she gets put up for the winter.

yeah that's kinda what i was thinking too patrick, since the plastic ones lasted this long.

you ever watch that fordtechmakuloco youtube channel? i think he is pretty good. he shows a lot of the newer style with the rear gaskets blowing out (but again most of them with high mileage)

While the weather was still warm I got it out and got the low speed driveability dialed in with the 210lb injectors and E85. Odd how where the transient (manifold volume) ended up was so far from where it should have been. With the scaling it should have been around 1.5L, but it works great at 12. I wonder if it just goes by pulsewidth/ticks and not fuel mass/injector slope. The Quarterhorse made dialing it in in real time a breeze though.

Downside is no more WOT pulls until I fix the exhaust. I'm still getting bit by the old fabricator's work. Turns out that with where the downpipe is routed on the driver's side, the tie rod hits the exhaust and pulls it off when it picks up the nose enough. I guess he didn't anticipate that, but I guess it is impressive that it's pulling the nose up high enough to do that.
