Yes Happy 20th for our beloved 2000R. One thing that still baffles me is why the value of this great and very limited car has not really progressed to it potential yet after 20 years. Thoughts, insights? I may look at selling mine this year to another collector. it only has 164 miles on it and may be time for someone else to enjoy as part of a collection. my mindset is shifting to drivable cars.
Normally cars depreciate after leaving the factory. You could say the mighty 00R has resisted much depreciation and low-mile pristine cars actually command prices higher than the original sticker price. These cars will jump in value, it’s just a matter of time. They are way too cool and rare not to appreciate nicely. I suspect we shall see a nice bump around the 25 year point. Collector cars typically see a nice value increase around that time.
In the meantime, I’ll just enjoy owning mine and taking it out for an occasional spirited run.
