You're not a real truck driver unless you know how to do that. Now we got these idiot driving automatic 18 speeds thinking they're the shit.

I drive truck and that sumbitch would take some getting used to. I've done 8, 10, 13, 18, and 21 but all single stick. Right now I have the luxury of an auto 13 but if you get stuck you're cursing about not having a stick.

All I ever got to drive was a 10-speed. Used to get bitched at for floating gears instead of double-clutching. I'm just lazy.

Ive not seen the 21 yet, but have drove an old Mack that had 5 stick with H,L N, R on the splitter it was neat

Your doing it right **** them
That's not lazy, it's smart if it's done right. Floaters that do it right can quadruple clutch life.
mainly cause people clutch to far and starts taking out the clutch break and then basically dropping clutch everytime you re-enage it

This..

Two times a clutch gets used...Starting and stopping(and barely then)

Never used the clutch unless starting and stopping. They used to replace mine at 500K. I have almost 2M driving big trucks.
