I'm 64, when I first heard Ford was releasing the EB for their truck line years ago I couldn't believe how Ford could make such a horrendous decision. I'm not ashamed to admit I was wrong. My DD Platinum Expedition preformed flawlessly (and delivered more torque at 2000 rpm than the 5.4 Expedition it replaced made max) before I traded it for my 19 loaded Raptor which has also been flawless. 95% of the negative comments are from asshats and V8 bigots who have never owned and driven one. "A lot of preventative maintenance"? No, it needs routine oil and filter changes, there's no magic there. Not only does the EB deliver more HP and torque than its V8 counterparts, it's torque curve is diesel-like And that's what really important in a truck. If I had a choice in the current V8 being available or an EB, I would choose the EB 100% of the time. If (IF) a blown V8 would ever be offered as an option in a Raptor I'd buy it only provided a EB with similar power was not an option. And this comes from an old guy who has owned dozens of (real) Shelbys, Boss cars, Panteras, CJ cars, Vipers, F series trucks, Broncos, Rangers, Expeditions, and Explorers....
