None taken, I honestly think ford found a little extra power. ...
They did. Motor Trend or C&D (or maybe Jalopnik?) vaguely mentioned it in an article they did about the GT500's engine. All the tweaks that were done for the GT500 were carried directly over to the GT350. They didn't state a number for the gains. Ford was being cagey. But the '19+ GT350s make more power than the previous ones. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they're now making somewhere in the neighborhood of 540HP at the crank, but Ford isn't re-rating/re-certifying them. But if you're saying you've seen them cut ETs by .25 second, then they're probably making around 550 crank. Somebody's gonna have to take theirs to the dyno to confirm for us.
Motor Trend did and they claim to have made something like 40 or 50 more whp with the 19 car vs the 15 they tested a few years back.

It is conceivable that it now makes near 600. The 458's 4.5L NA V8 puts out 570HP. Zero reason the Voodoo couldn't do more.
Lea Pritchett is a baadddd woman. Hot and can wheel a Top Fuel car? Yes please.View attachment 1594116
Being generous on the weight, because Lea Pritchett won't be driving the GT500.
the 19 car made 27whp more. So a theoretical 555 crank. They would have to back that up with increased trap speeds for me to take it serious.
Any word on the oil consumption issue for the 19 gt350? If that's fixed and the motors aren't blowing up, I'd be a buyer.
Something tells me we’re going to be getting very healthy dyno numbers from the new gt500 ala terminator days of “390hp” being closer to 430.

So then I opened the 2019 gt350 dyno article link
It Makes How Much? We Dyno the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 - MotorTrend
So 494whp from a “526hp” rating...
Ok. By that kind of badassery, it’s not unrealistic to daydream about a 720whp gt500.
Im not saying it will, but we will soon find out.
It aint cutting no 1.6 on a street tire. 1.7 lowest and still 99% unlikely. 1.8 is the best I think one can hope for street tires.
1.6 should be no problem with a radial though
