What I’ve noticed is that as time passes, the prices go up. I’m wondering how much higher the prices will go next year around this time.

From your pics, your car appears to be a fine example sir. I wont sell my car. Only way it goes away from me is if it gets wrecked. Hopefully it wont.
Besides, my car isnt super clean and it's set up in a way that most wouldnt want anyway :)

it seems like people have a lot more play money nowadays (because of Trump of course). No but really. Things are selling MUCH faster and at premium prices. You're gonna pay to play. It's not like the 2008 game anymore. A really nice low mileage Terminator is gonna cost 22-25k for sure. Which honestly isn't that bad considering a Coyote will cost 20k anyway...

I can only speak for myself but a lot of buyers (like me) are willing to pay a premium for a great condition terminator in the color they want. I just purchased a CO coupe completely bone stock with 12,000 miles and one owner on eBay. Sure I paid a pretty penny but in my eyes these cars will only go up in value and like previous posters have said it’s getting harder and harder to find “clean” cobras.

Definitely. To me, the price I pay for something I really want is secondary to "finding a deal".

Any pics or info on your new comp orange? Congrats!

I agree 100%. When I bought this car, I asked the guy what his best price was and he gave it. I told him I’m coming tomorrow for the car.

Once I bought it, someone saw my pics and told me that he was in negotiations for the car and was trying to deal the guy down. I bought it for $1,000 more than his offer. I didn’t really try to deal it down because I know with these cars, especially the SB, CO and MC coupes, people will just buy it. There was a guy who bought a MC coupe for $42K with 10K miles. I was in constant communications with him and he was telling me that he didn’t care about getting a deal, he didn’t want to lose out on a MC coupe

buy dirty make clean... thats been the way I've been doing it lately..not by choice though LOL.

Yep, that's what I did with my vert. It had 75K miles on the clock and was not in terrible condition, but needed some TLC. I cleaned it up. Purchased new brakes/rotors, painted the calipers, replaced brake fluid, redid the undercoating in the rear wheel wells, replaced inner and outer belts, dressed up engine bay, replaced bearings in all pulley's, flushed and filled the radiator, changed the oil and have even purchased new switches for the interior as they were worn/faded from use. I even purchased a new key fob as the buttons were worn.

I don't like worn out stuff. Even if it works fine, it needs to look good too LOL.........

I bought my vert in 2016 and it only has 76K miles on it now :D..........

jesus aint that the truth.

And when I get them done, they're sold within a month, and onto the next. lolol
Wrenching is half of the fun for me.

It's just harder for me to make time now a days.

Especially with my 3 year old running around. She is such a handful and makes the simplest tasks stressful hahaha

Oh man isn't that the truth. Sometimes I don't even attempt to start things depending on the day.

Speaking of time, these cars are now 15+ years old. As they age, the percentage of pristine examples will decline. Those pristine examples will continue to command top dollar and be in high demand. The others will continue to show their age and that will be reflected in the pricing. JMO.

Should be interesting to see what prices we're seeing in the next 2-5 years.

I've been toying with the idea of selling my 03 lately. 50k miles, black, 2.3 Whipple gen2, all the supporting mods......exhaust, fuel system, suspension, brakes, etc. Made 640hp/630tq. Nice clean car. Changed a few things over winter/spring and have been trying to get it sorted out the last few weeks. Not sure If I'll change my mind once its dialed back in. I'm near Pittsburgh, 6-7 hours from Detroit, haven't put a lot of thought into an asking price, but it would definitely be over $20k. Not sure if its something you would be interested in.

I'm in the same boat. But I think you'd be surprised. I had two people ask me how much I wanted at the last car meet I went to. And a couple weeks ago I was doing some work outside the house and someone driving by asked me how much. And I haven't given it a good detail since the end of March.

Yup... This is the peak pricing right now also around Michigan.
I was looking for a lower mileage car when I made my buy last Summer, but I ultimately bought a 10th coupe with 77,000 miles on it. It was truly the "cleanest" one I looked at. Cleaner and nicer than multiple Terminators I drove with half the mileage. It was truly cared for and the two previous owners were both from SVTP.

I'd rather have the higher mileage nicer one. I came across some beat dick examples back in '07 when I got mine. Completely trashed ones. It was sad. I'm sure it's worse now too.
