I thought that commercial was a satire, or something

Nobody can honestly believe that Chevy - or GM as a whole - is the best at anything.
My issue with chevy is the mass amount of electrical problems they have. My Tahoe had electrical issues at about 50K miles. Another buddies Z06 at about 20K miles. When you did research on the issues you find out it is super common and it's from parts they use across the board.

I'd wager it's GM in general that has electrical issues.

Have you ever paid attention to how many GM trucks and SUVs have a DRL that's not working? I swear it's probably 75% of them I see on the road.

not at my post...
There is a dude on instagram that I remember from the ST forum, very fast driver, so fast you'd think he is a pro.

He has a new SS 1LE and it had that steering issue, it happened on a bank at one of the circle tracks while going probably 120 mph. He caught it, but it was scary, I'm not sure I would have caught it.

I found the video.

Holyshit, I would have dropped a load in my boxers...FWIW I’m not a fan of these electric power steering racks. The rack in my mustang has freaked out inexplicably too...that aside, the GMs I have owned seemed to suffer far more frequent electrical problems than my fords.

Oh ya. One of my issues was the Emergency/Parking brake warning light was stuck on. The reason was the module Chevy used had bad soldiers. These Modules were in every Truck line (Tahoe, Sub, 1500, Trailblazer and so on). After about 30K-50K miles the soldiers would come loose and the light would be on forever. Luckily we were able to pull ours and heat up all the soldier points and reinstall the module and it was good as new but still a pain in the ass cause it was really hard to get too the Torqs heads.

As far as steering wheels I know many many Vettes in the early 2000s that steering wheels locked up and they had to get towed.

If literally anyone actually believed Chevrolet (GM) was more reliable than Toyota or Honda then looooool.

I cant tell you how many late model GM shitboxes have rolled through the used car department here at work. About the only thing they make that isnt a complete pile of shit are the Suburbans and Escalades and Corvettes. Even those SUVs STILL had wax coated frames in their late model production.
Dude it’s crazy. Some days I write up more chevys and jeeps at my dealer than I do hondas. The Chevy equinox has to be the worst thing to come out of GM.

In Laws have an equinox. Fill me in on the issues so i can relate it back to them

It's just a piece of crap. It feels cheap from the get go and only gets worse over time. The same materials and feel carry over into the larger Terrain and it is all the same with that car as well.

I knew the terrain was garbage. They got it for cheap and its a step up from the Malibu they had. So far the interior although being cheap has held up ok for the year they had it... you can tell it wont age well. I got FIL bugging the piss out of me to help find him a Hemi powered Ram.

I told him of he this would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire to make a move like that. I tried to push them into a STX powered by the 2.7 with an extended warranty.

Yeah, honestly the lower model Chevy's feel like they were built to be rentals because that is where the majority of sales most likely come from for those cars. Enterprise has thousands of Cruzes, Malibus, Equinoxes, and Terrains. Those 4 cars age much worse than the Tahoes and Suburbans that they also have tons of.

What’s this GM creating stats that just are not accurate, such as their “oem” ring times? Never.

Of course @GTSpartan will be in here saying all munfacturers stretch numbers. Dodge and Ford I’m thinking are less creative than gm. Haha

Owned a Chevy HHR. I literally set it on fire. Couldn't go on a date without getting stranded! Cost me a boat load of pussies!
