Which vehicle (excluding exotics) says “I’m successful”. Sometimes when I see a restored muscle car I think to myself , that guy has his stuff together.

A car that is driven by your personal driver and is taking you to your private jet.

The rest of us get to trudge through life with a couple of nice things that we are a couple of pay checks away from losing and living on the streets.

Hard to gauge success with cars nowadays. You can see a guy in the latest and greatest M series BMW but, he could be driving that car back to his 1 bedroom studio in the projects.

Used to be any high line German car. Now it’s a hard to gauge. The wife and I have two semi nice vehicles we bought this year and I still know I haven’t “made it.”

You're going to see more and more of that.

Cars are lasting longer and manufacturers prices are starting to skyrocket, outpacing inflation.

People are keeping their cars 10 years now.

Yep. 80k+ for a large SUV is flipping insane. I just cant see having a 12 year note. Everyone tries to play keeping up with the jones's and that's pathetic to me. Of course, that's my opinion which is just that. An opinion. Nothing says "I made it", like being in debt to your eyeballs....haha.

All my jokes aside, my ultimate "i've made it" car is actually the self built one I've been dreaming about the last decade.

Full monocoque titanium space frame with carbon fiber body. 1500hp mid mounted twin turbo coyote. Alcantera interior. Custom led headlights and taillights. Full tube coil over suspension. I want the thing to be meaner than a Factory Five GTM and way better looking.

With the mid engine vette coming out, I'm hoping prices for those tranasxles will make it more affordable.

If I could sell them for at least $150k.....
