I tried to buy one a year ago but the dealership wanted a $7k ADM, so I went and bought an F150. Now that they've added a volume knob to the radio, and I have to drop my kids off every morning, I'm looking to sell my Mustang and get a Type R in metallic grey.

I also wanted to wait until the long term reviews started coming in, as we all know the short term reviews for a new performance car don't often tell the whole story. All of the long term reviews I've read say that if you can get over the styling (I have) then it is a brilliant car. I think it will be a great 3-season car for me to enjoy while still performing daily drop off duties. YMMV.

Ugly as sin.

I'd own one in a second.

Kid at work has a wrx and R33 gts. We were talking just about the Type R last night. Ricers wet dream come true. Wait until 30 years from now when all the imports hit Barrett Jackson

That's like winning the special olympics. It may have come in first, but it's still retarded.

Who gives a shit. Nicky6 won the superbowl as a backup in organization history. If its fast it fast regardless of how ugly it looks!

Umm - I care quite a bit about how it looks, as I'm sure a lot of other people do.

If nobody cared about looks, we'd all be driving rusted out fox bodies with TT Coyotes, or the like.

I think they're ugly...but I must confess, I could not keep up with one on one of the local road courses in my Mustang, and the Civic was bone stock. Well driven by a competition licensed driver, but still. For reference, I've never come across a stock Focus RS that I couldn't smoke on the track. These Type R's are legit.
