So sad that happened! I feel your pain. I hope I never lose mine. But you know, stuff happens.I was specifically looking for a blued Dan Wesson Valor like that.
None. They were tragically lost in a johnboat accident.

post that question here,Got a new m&p 10 yesterday. Trying to figure out a scope to put on it (old UTG BugBuster on it now). Thinking about a Nikon m-308 or possibly a ATN day/night scope. Any other ideas? I want the ability to shoot 800 yards or so. View attachment 1502006

Just about $970 out the door, not too bad. I am really pleased with the build quality.Nice @Jmurrz. How much did it cost you?
Thanks! Yeah the UTG was one of those impulse Amazon purchases. Maybe this shows my inexperience with optics, but I think that it is pretty clear and has some good features for $75.post that question here,

And don't tell them you have a UTG scope on it (speaking as someone who once did).
I have actually owned several when I was new to modern sporting rifles. The advice I got (after the fact) is that it will not have the kind of glass you want to shoot in any other than ideal lighting situations at 100 yards, much less at 800, and their capacity to maintain zero once you have it dialed in, especially with a larger caliber like .308, will be diminished. Thanks! I did a ton of research from YouTube and forums. There were some awesome scopes but pricing was consideration, so I decided on the primary arms 4-14 FFP 308 ACSS reticle. I got it for $279 off Amazon. I looked at the 223 version in my local gun shop next to a $700 nikon and a $1000 leupold and honestly I thought that for the price difference they were not worth the extra clarity. I thought the ACOG had nicer glass than both of them (although eye relief was pretty bad). I don't hunt, and this won't be my primary SHTF rifle, so I don't need to trust my life to it. It was very clear (especially considering the price) and has an awesome reticle that is ffp. It has parallax and illumination too. Also picked up an Aero Precision mount, so for ~$350 I will be out there banging steel.post that question here,

AR's like to run wet. Lube that bolt/BCG before every range session. The gunsmith said it looked a bit dry on the bolt carrier, so he said that might be the issue. Hoping for the best, I am very happy with how the gun shop took care of me.
Yeah, I am coming from an AK platform so that concept of well lubricated may have escaped me.AR's like to run wet. Lube that bolt/BCG before every range session.
Finally after 16 weeks and arguing back and forth with the manufacturer my FAL is here.
