just like modifying cars man, people putting their personal touches on them, i personally only do mods to my Glocks that help functionality, to each their own right?

It's my understanding that's one of the reasons they don't sell the blue Valor anymore. Trouble with finishes. The truth is, I'll put a different front sight on it, and a Smith and Alexander mag well, and hopefully shoot the snot out of it at matches. I do not keep safe queens. I shoot them or sell them.

Amen brother! Just finished up the 500 round break-in process on my Specialist this morning - nary a hiccup in a wide selection of ammo; from factory 115/124/147 to handloaded mild to wild in the same weights. Even used it in a couple IPSC mini-matches without a hitch. She's a dirty girl now but she's earned her place in the safe...

I wish that was mine! That was posted up on the 1911 forums awhile back. Guy did several write ups about his gun and how well it has been holding up.
