Isn’t the whole point of the Demon to kick up dust in forums like this? It is an undrivable “street” car that you cannot actually race because it does not have a roll cage. It is purpose built for internet pissing contests.

Not to mention it is a $100,000 Dodge Challenger. Let me repeat that: A $100k Dodge Challenger. For about the same money you can get a lightly used ZL1 and a lightly used Predator for the summer. Or a 2018 5.0 and Procharger and fuel system and take the rest and fill a swimming pool with gold coins so you can bathe Scrooge McDuck style. Or a Hellcat Challenger and a Dodge Ram pickup. Or a 2017 Z06 with a tune and cams and a shitton of bitcoin. I can go on and on.

So it is not really a street car, but is it even a drag car? Those that are really interested in cars that run <10 like to create them with their own hands, not buy something off of a dealer lot. What mods can you do to a Demon that can make it any faster? Who is going to modify it anyways? How many of these are actually going to be raced? I feel like the target buyer is a wannabe Jay Leno that can point to it and rattle off how fast it is without ever actually beating on it.

3) $100K? You must be including a Dealer markup of $15K because last time I checked, the MSRP was around $85K.

Demon is legit as hell and I want one, but id be lying if I didn't say I was disappointed by that 780 performance.

I thought for sure it would be ~820-850 at the tire to support the 140 trap speed at 4250 lbs.

In light of recent threads I just want to say one thing and that is, why are we talking about Demons and CJ's? It's pointless. We all know the true king of the strip and that is the bone stock 03/04 Cobra....... Forget about its legendary trunk space and just focus on how fruitless it is to release the new GT500 and Demon's. Throw four kegs in the back of the Cobra and enough water bottles to survive the impending zombie apocalypse for 5 years and the car still couldn't be touched.
